Love this keyboard!
This Perixx PERIBOARD-332 wired backlit USB keyboard ditches the numpad, keeping the mouse close and reducing shoulder strain—perfect for people like me who have no use for stretched-out layouts. I also require the delete key to be in the most upper right position. And I chose the wired version because my desktop computer is too far from the keyboard for a wireless keyboard to work. Despite the smaller size, it has full-sized keys, all 12 function keys, and an excellent typing feel. Unlike my old mushy rubber dome keyboard that triggered letters with the lightest touch (causing endless typos), these sculpted scissor keys require a deliberate ~2 mm press with clear and quiet tactile feedback. Result: far fewer mistakes and almost no time wasted correcting. The large keycap letters are very easy to read. The backlighting has five levels (4 brightnesses and off), which is great for dimly-lit rooms. Unlike other reviews posted here, I found all rows to be backlit well. The only minor downsides for me are (a) there’s no dedicated INSERT key, but FN+F11 works just fine, and (b) the user can’t adjust the tilt of the keyboard. Bottom line: This is the best compact keyboard I’ve used for typing accuracy, readability, and ergonomics, and I recommend it highly if you can live without a numpad.

Good compact keyboard; room to improve
I bought the Perixx PERIBOARD-332 because I was looking to downsize from my Cherry Stream keyboard (I do not often use the number pad and found it to be a massive waste of desk space). I was torn between this and the PERIBOARD-432 (which is very similar, but not backlit), but ultimately went with this model because it had a few extra keys (Insert/Pause Break) that I use regularly that were mapped to the F1-F12 buttons; I considered the backlight a bonus. For the price, it's a nice, compact, solidly-built keyboard that lets me keep my mouse super-close to the rest of the keyboard. I love the function lock option as it makes the keyboard more versatile; if you don’t use the F1-F12 buttons, you can effectively make those buttons multimedia/extra keys. It's made of plastic so it's very light, though it does not move around while I type on it at all. I think the cord that comes with it is 5-6 feet or so, which should be long enough for the needs of most people. I’d consider it a definite candidate to be a travel keyboard it you want a wired one. The scissor switches are very nice to type on. They aren't silent, I'd say the noise they produce is about average for a scissor-switch keyboard, somewhere around the level that my Cherry Stream keyboard does. The noise level is still well within the realm of acceptability if you're using it in an office. These switches are also on the softer side, which I like (I don’t need to use as much force to push them down as I I did on my Cherry Stream). If you’re used to a laptop keyboard, you’ll feel right at home. Scissor switches in general are a HUGE improvement over the rubber dome switches one typically finds in cheaper keyboards providing a much more uniform typing experience with more feedback. If you’ll ever be using this with the backlight off, the keys are incredibly legible with it off. The keys on the keyboard are close in size to what one would find on a normal full-size keyboard, minus the smaller function key row and arrow keys. All keys except for those on the function row and bottom row are nicely contoured to the shape of your fingers and are pleasant to the touch. As for the cons, there are a few, but nothing terrible. The backlight is just OK. It’s still an asset as it does help increase legibility of the keys regardless of lighting conditions, but it doesn’t get terribly bright, particularly with the bottom row. You have the option to cycle through various brightness levels or turn the backlight off as well, but I don’t know why you’d wish to make the keys any dimmer (unless you’re turning the lighting off entirely). I’ve attached a couple of pics to this review showing the lighting on and off, both with lights on in the room and off. Because I’m close to my monitor, the large white key fonts pick up a lot of light even in low-lighting conditions, which is nice. The LEDs that power the backlight may be visible under the keys, depending on the angle you sit at (but because they’re not super-bright, they aren’t blinding). The biggest issue for me and one that really made me question making the purchase is that the tilt on the keyboard is non-adjustable. As somebody who normally uses a keyboard flat, I may end up buying a set of feet or something else to prop up the front end of the keyboard and make it flat or give it a slight negative title. Since the keyboard is so skinny to begin with, I let it slide as I can still usually keep my wrists in an OK posture. If you use a keyboard with a positive tilt anyway, you’ll likely be fine with it. If Perixx is listening, make the following changes and you’ll have created the perfect compact keyboard: 1) Make the backlight a bit brighter and angle the LEDs or adjust the keycaps so that they can’t be seen under them. 2) Make the tilt optional for people who would like to use their keyboard flat (if you want bonus points, make it so that a negative tilt is possible for even better ergonomics). 3) Make the left/right arrow keys full-size (there’s a little wasted space as-is).

Finally, characters that are lit!
This is the fourth keyboard for my PC. Others took up too much desk space, squeezing my mouse movements into a small space, or they frustrated me by not having forward Delete keys, or dedicated arrow keys, or it couldn’t be used without being plugged in (I like to chat with others during movies as I lean back taking my keyboard away from my desk), or it had very poor lighting of the characters so even when ‘lit up’ I still couldn’t see where anything was. I had to hit a number key to see what it was while keeping my other hand on the Backspace button. Despite colorful backlighting underneath the keys, the keys themselves did not have enough light. SO … FINALLY! I’m so happy to get exactly what I’ve been searching for: Small size leaving lots of mouse movement room, number keys separate from F keys, Del and Backspace both, Arrow keys in their own little spot, and large characters that really light up so you can see them in total dark - without being blinded by light from under the keys. Watch the video, where I bring in my other colorful ‘lit’ keyboard, which is even harder to use in real life without the camera’s help. This Perixx Periboard 732 (or 732B, I’m not sure) is perfect for me! The keys are quiet and have a definite tactile click-feel but without the loud clacky clacky sound. It sits up a little in the back, for better look and usefulness. As for lights timing out: (1) Unplugged, not using it, they went out after 36 seconds. (2) Unplugged, using it every 5 or 10 seconds, the light stayed on past two minutes when I figured it would stay lit as long as I was using it. (3) Plugged into the recharge cable, not using it, they went out after 36 seconds, same as when unplugged. Probably a good feature, to turn it off if you haven’t needed it for that long. Even after the light goes out, the characters are so large and so white I can see them even in very little light. I figure plugged in and using it every 30 seconds or so they would stay on forever. … I’m loving the size and extra keys and lights where they should be. It arrived in only 2 days, and that was during holiday rush (ordered Dec. 22, arrived Dec. 24) So far there is no downside to this unit. Maybe some people prefer patterned rainbow colors coming out from under the keys, but though it’s pretty, it didn’t work in low light. Believe me, it’s what you’re looking for.

Good but need to turn on the light every time, touchpad anyone?
This keyboard checks almost all the boxes for me. Compact, good backlight, and RF 2.4. I am glad it isn't bluetooth as they do not work well for an HTPC. The only thing I didn't like is that I have to turn the backlight on everytime I use it, there is no memory for the settings. I don't know if the manufacturer reads these review, but what would make this perfect would be the setting retention, and even better a touch pad with a real tactile left and right click button. Currently there is no longer a keyboard on the market like this (logitech stopped making K830 which was perfect except the charging port failed/broke on all units), there a couple cheap bluetooth ones that are well bluetooth and don't last. I personally would buy 3 myself if they existed.

Good quality, compact keyboard with nice features.
Very nice keyboard. Touch typing is easy with the feel of the keys. I wanted something that didn't take up a lot of space on my table, but with full sized keys and function keys (brightness, sound, video controls). The labels on the keys are large which is also great. I liked it so much I bought a 2nd one for my shop computer.

Perfect Keyboard.
I have had a Logitech K380 Bluetooth Keyboard for over six years, and I absolutely love it. There isn't a more perfect keyboard out there for me. And I've never had any problems using it for anything, including gaming. I have 250 games on Steam and 450 games on Epic Games, and I've used the Logitech K380 keyboard with a lot of them and had no problems. But I started playing Dead by Daylight a few months ago, and I noticed that skill checks were difficult for me to make. It was forcing me to use a Technician perk that allowed me to miss skill checks without alerting the killer. But on a whim, I tried using my laptop keyboard instead of the wireless one, and I noticed the skill checks were way easier, making it so that I don't need the Technician perk. So that is when I decided to buy a wired keyboard. I tried different keyboards. The first one was a Perixx PERIBOARD-407W, and I did not like it because the keyboard was bigger than I wanted and the keys were a lot higher. They keys tired out my fingers and made me make a lot of typos. That's when I learned that I need to look for the words "mini" and "thin" when shopping for a keyboard. And I learned that I like Scissor Keys. I then ordered a Powboro Upgraded keyboard. It was a mini keyboard with a thin profile and scissor keys. Unfortunately, it was junk and the 'w' key did not work. Other customers complained about the keys sticking or being broken too. So then I ordered this Perixx PERIBOARD-432 keyboard. I tested this new keyboard out, and there is no lag whatsoever. I can make skill checks in Dead by Daylight with absolutely no problem now. Great purchase. Worth every single penny.

Best Backlit Wireless Keyboard on Earth & It's Compact, Lightweight & VERY Portable!
For both general usage, portability and price, this is the best wireless backlit keyboard available, that is anywhere that I've looked, including Logitech and all the other popular keyboard manufacturers, but because it holds a charge for days AND it functions with no lag just as well as any a wired keyboard I've used--this is because of its included 2.4ghz usb dongle--and it fully functions both wirelessly and while connected to its USB connected charger. My description so far is enough, I believe, for anyone wanting these features to consider this keyboard, but there are more pros ahead and only one slight con. Most current Perixx keyboards use scissor keys (the type used in nearly all laptop computers--the type I prefer), but I believe Perixx now also sells the same 732B-style keyboard with mechanical keys too, and the keyboard has no noticeable lag within several feet of its receiver, but at greater distances (i.e., for use on a couch over 10 feet away) it's still very low-lag and still excellent! Here’s the one possible slight “con” when using this keyboard on your lap: you might want a wrist-rest. When using a any wireless keyboard on your lap an wrist-rest attached to the keyboard raises the keyboard’s keys up a few inches above your lap so your hands have extra space to reach for the keys. This is helpful if you’re a fast typist, but for on-your-lap usage most people aren’t using a keyboard to type much at all and so this keyboard is still fairly easy to use on your lap without a wrist-rest. Here’s what I made (see photo) for less than $1 to add a wrist-rest to the 732B--because sometimes I'll type for hours with this keyboard on my lap. I duck-taped a small rectangle of fiberboard to the back of the keyboard and attached a couple of plastic glass retaining clips to it—if you use strong duct-tape to attach the board to the back of the keyboard it will hold for years and also still be fairly easy to remove if so desired. I type a LOT and so I was a decades-long consumer of Logitech keyboards because of their quality & design, but for every reason I know of Perixx tops them and so Perixx has stolen me as a customer. For example, this Perixx 732B is smaller, much lighter, uses the same type of scissor-keys as Logitech and so is basically as just as durable, has the same adjustable backlighting and more, and that’s at 1/3rd the price. I almost forgot: the key caps on the 732B are sculpted too (very comfortable & improves accuracy) ...I've never actually loved a keyboard before, but this one comes close! I’m buying a second one.

This little keyboard replaced the large gaming keyboard I had on my workstation
I like this little keyboard because it seems sturdy and solid and not cheap or lightweight. Due to limited space at my workstation I got rid of the big gaming keyboard and put this one down, I do like to use numbers to input, but I just use the top keys instead of the 10 key pad.
