Very rigid and good build

This is by far the best holder for musicians. Basically, every Hercules guitar stand and holder of any kind I have ever owned works flawlessly. I trust my most expensive guitars to Hercules stands. This smartphone holder is no exception. It is sturdy and versatile. Not only does it clamp onto any microphone stand, it will also clamp onto a table edge or basically anything with a little part jutting out for the holder clamp to tighten onto. I use this for gigs clamped onto the mic stand and for practice clamped onto the table edge. I adjusts to fit the width of your smartphone. It is a tight fit for my iPhone with the Otterbox around it, but it does hold it securely and it a perfect fit.
