Great present for my grandad

I finally got round to doing this, it’s been in my cupboard for ages, one of those things you buy on the spur of the moment but keep putting off.I settled down with the instructions and really enjoyed doing it in the end.The pieces all come attached to larger sheets, you need to push them out, which is fairly easy and I only slightly damaged one, the coating tore a little but it was in a place where I could hide it.I was a lot more careful after that and didn’t have any further damages.Each piece is marked but don’t be tempted to remove everything at once, they are recognisable from the instructions but it’s much easier to do it bit by bit.Some pieces fit together more smoothly than others but they mostly need a good push.I did put a couple of pieces the wrong way round, trial and error but I was able to pull it apart and turn them round.You don’t need any glue, screws, hammers or anything like that, just patience.Once assembled it’s really sturdy and the clock seems to be keeping good time. It’s also a non ticking clock, thank god!The hands were a bit tricky to fit and I definitely suggest fitting the battery to ensure it’s working before you proceed.The clock face assembly is easily removable to change the battery or alter the clock.My only criticism is that as the wood is dark and the clock hands are black, it’s very hard to see the time but I’m basically using it as a decoration, I suggest painting the hands silver or gold before you put it together.I’m really glad I finally got round to doing this, it looks impressive and the price was very reasonable.Highly recommended if you want a different sort of puzzle.Hope you found my review helpful

I bought this as a present. Person really enjoyed putting this together and looks lovely sitting on my mantlepiece.

Present, feed back good

My husband enjoyed putting this together and we both think it looks lovely on our mantelpiece. A wee hint though.... Paint the hands or it is almost impossible to see the time. My husband has taken the clock part off and I painted the hands with silver acrylic paint. What a difference. Simple

I ordered this as a Christmas present for my younger brother. The item arrived promptly and was neatly and aesthetically boxed. My brother is mechanically minded and likes to know how things work. He could probably take apart a jumbo jet engine and put it back together again given the time. After unwrapping the present and as expected my brother compulsively and immediately set to work and pieced this clockwork puzzle together in no time at all. If I tried to assemble it myself it would take me alot of attention and time to accomplish the same feat. This was a perfect sentimental gift for my brother, he was very pleased and it is now on display in his room. I would recommend this as a gift for anyone of a similar mechanically talanted mindset and any puzzle problem solver hobbiest.

Poorly made and poor quality what ever it was made out of I can't decide if it is wood or compressed paper. What ever it is it's poor quality will always use UGEARS in future.

My son enjoyed assembling this beautiful and unusual clock and, much to my delight, it's really quiet too!
