While I did have a learning curve with this razor, I love it after I got the hang of not taking a chunk out of my skin. That was completely user error due to not holding it at the right angle. I used this razor for so long and only changes out the blade every 3-6 months, depending on usage. I’m not sure how but I dropped it and some part of it broke so currently I am looking to buy again!

I bought this because I heard that single blade razors are better for ingrown hairs/razor bumps etc, but I was nervous because I tried a cheap safety blade in high school and could not stop nicking myself, especially around the knees..! but not with this beautiful invention!!! The razor is slightly weighted so you don’t have to apply any pressure, and its so easy to wash clean as you go so it doesn’t get clogged- and so you don’t miss a spot!! Also, NO NICKS! I didn’t bleed once and I even used it on my bikini area- I think because you don’t need to add any pressure. The online girlies were right, the single blade is so much better. My legs feel like BUTTER and I have no razor bumps or ingrown hairs. I’m so pleased to find a product so effective, I’m wondering if it will help my strawberry legs go away over time too. I will update if this happens! In the meantime, just happy to have such a clean close shave, and with less plastic too, which is a bonus.

I really like this razor. It's affordable, a good close shave, has a solid feeling in the hand. HOWEVER. I have now sheered the head clean off the handle TWICE. I dropped it off my little shelf in my shower and bam, hit the floor and sheered the head off. Obviously I shouldn't be dropping my razor, but still. That's not exactly great durability. But I really like the razor, so do I buy a third like an idiot? Idk.

So, I had high hopes for these since they were recommended by a friend. I figured the cost would balance itself out with not purchasing disposables. I avoid the moisture strips on shavers as they're pretty toxic and when you're shaving -the heat in the shower opens up the pores and those chemicals go directly into the bloodstream. Sensitive areas btw are concentrated with lymph nodes as well... Not good. (Fun facts for ya.) So typically I use a 3 letter word -female brand of pastel colors (hint) and those work fine and have no moisture strip. This shaver I found to be heavy. I purchased 3. One for each of us 3 ladies in the house. They will cut ya pretty easily if you're not a very careful shaver. You have to position it at a careful angle. And you have to take them apart to cleanse after so that you don't have bacteria bc of the angle of the razor. It kind of traps stuff. Not difficult but tedious and you have to be careful with the wet blade. Overall I'm just not impressed. Wish I had just tried one instead of buying 3. I don't think I would personally recommend it to anyone. But on the plus side, of the 3 I bought- dark green, rose gold and the rainbow color...the rainbow one was very pretty. And I don't typically go for that. So hopefully that info helps. Best of luck to you.

I’ve used this razor one time so far and my legs have never been smoother with no bumps! I’ve always hated shaving cuz I seem to always get ingrown hairs and my legs just look gross. I’ve been seeing a lot of advertisements about these old safety razors and thought I’d give it a try. I chose this brand cuz it seemed to be the cheapest and looked exactly the same as all the other more expensive brands. I love the mint green color! It doesn’t take long to get the hang of how to use the razor, just start slow. Each stroke is so effortless and smooth! I definitely recommend trying it!

I’ve been using this razor for a little over a year now and trying to convince myself it’s decent when I tell you that every single time I use this thing I cut myself I’m not joking. This thing is literally equivalent to using a dollar tree, razor or like one of those super shitty razors that you get for super cheap that aren’t safe for your skin at all. Also, might I add that this starts resting super fast. You have to change the razor blade all the time. I’m someone with decently sensitive skin when it comes to shaving, but only on the bikini area and the actual cr0tch, but ever since I’ve used this thing I’ve been getting cuts all over my legs nonstop. I don’t know how this thing has any good reviews because it’s genuinely been tormenting me. I don’t know why it’s taking me this long to switch seeing as it’s this awful but seriously this thing sucks. Sometimes the cuts are so bad. I have to literally wear a Band-aid. I shave super carefully and slow slowly. I don’t rush through it with this thing whatsoever and even when I shave carefully and slowly I still get cut so just imagine if you’re trying to shave quickly, how many cuts you would have…. This product and it’s advertising is horrible. It is not at all a good recommendation with someone with sensitive skin.

This thing is so much better than a 5-blade in the sense that it gives you a much closer shave but BE!!! CAREFUL!!!!! It is VERY easy to slice yourself with this thing. You have to go a lot slower than with the average 5-blade women’s razor. I used it every where (yes, *there*) and it was going really well, and then I started on my ankle, got too confident and sliced it. It got a pretty good chunk of skin. Very ouch LOL So if you buy this, use caution. It’s a great razor, just go SLOW so you don’t slip like I did. Other than that, the quality is great. It was easy to put together and it works very well.

I was delighted to find that all of the packaging - including the paper bag it was mailed in - is compostable. I am impressed at the quality of the handle and guard. It has a nice weight to it. I've never used a safety razor before, but I found the blades rather thin. I'm not sure if that's normal. Shaving was very tricky at first. I'm used to shaving very, very fast with a 5-blade disposable razor. I had to shave very slowly with this razor for fear of seriously injuring myself. The end result was a close, clean shave that rivals the multi-blade disposables I'm used to. Let me tell you, Big Shave is lying to you. You really don't need more than one blade! I'm convinced and I'm converted. Safety razors for life!

I have had this for over a year now, it has held up very well. You can use any standard blades when you run out of the ones that are provided. I find that this razor has prevented strawberry skin and is very easy to use as long as you are careful

its built nice i have had no issues with it nice a cheep to refill and it reduced my razor bumps quite a bit

I got this a few days ago, thinking it would be more eco friendly. I hated buying plastic disposable razors so this seemed perfect. I tried it straight out the box and the blade got dull after 3 swipes. Maybe I got a bad blade, but I was determined to make it work so I went to my local pharmacy to buy a box of Gillette double edge blades from the men's section, replaced the original with one and BOY CAN I SEE THE DIFFERENCE! Buttery smooth. Just came here to say I highly recommend this and if yours came with a dull blade, it's much cheaper to get replacement blades than to give up and buy a new pack of disposable razors.

This product was purchased for my partner and arrived next day in excellent packaging. I've only used disposable razors before so i gave her new one a try. It was the easiest and cleanest shave i've ever had. We coupled this product with Astra double edge superior platinum blades which made shaving a lot faster as two edges allow two passes over your hair before cleaning the blade. The assembly is sturdy with good weight to the handle. At first it might seem cumbersome however when actually shaving the weight distribution makes it extremely comfortable. The ridges on the handle serve as a good grip even with shaving cream on it! Gents, i would highly recommend switching to this sort of razor. I was hesitant at first as it seemed more dangerous, but if you are appropriately careful you will not cut yourself. It's considerably cheaper to replace blades than disposable razors and much better for the environment. Even the packaging is net carbon neutral (so it says) so treat yourself without any guilt!

Total Newbie here, I was petrified of using this but it's amazing! I asked my husband to help set the razor up as i was so scared of cutting myself on the blades - But once in the razor it feels safe. 1) The instructions state to go with the grain not against, so it is strange getting used to the new direction of shaving. 2) I kept it at 30' angle which is what the instructions state, and this worked really well. I didn't cut myself at all which is surprising for me! 3) It feels heavy but that gives the pressure needed to shave, you don't need to press hard at all. 4) It's stylish, comfortable, works perfectly and if you follow the above then you'll have no issues. 5) Unsure if this will remove my red bumps and lumps that I usually have on my legs but hopefully after consistent use this will improve. Enjoy - It's great! Would make a nice gift too. Well made and good quality.
