The power of this juicer seems to be adequate. The two speed motor is powerful enough for most rinds. I just remove the thick lemon rinds.

Can you juice almonds to make almond milk?

No. I use my blender to make almond milk. Just soak almonds in water overnight, blend them and strain it with cheese cloth . But it will not work in the juicer .
