Cooling Fan for PS5 2020, Quiet Cooler with Auto Speed USB3.0

I am not one to write a lot of reviews but definitely wanted to leave one for this to help other's decide if they want to purchase for themselves for one big reason. The "auto off/on" feature. But first, one of the main things everyone wants to know, "Is it loud?" Well that is always a subjective question and will depend on your gaming setup. I have my system setup with a surround sound so it is typically louder than your average TV speakers. While the fan does have two speeds to allow you to choose how much air you want it to move to keep your system cool that will obviously affect the sound coming from the unit. I found that the low speed will be decent enough for most situations and isn't much louder than the a computer fan. The high setting sounds about twice as loud much like a computer on the verge of overheating. I found on either setting I really only noticed it when the system was starting up due to the lack of sound coming from the system, but then completely forgot about it once the game started. If you're in a quiet room, or wearing headphones, it will be noticeable, but hopefully not annoying for you. I also did not experience any weird noises as found in some of the other reviews. Now for the "auto off/on" and the one reason I almost returned the product. The fan uses the power from the USB port on the PS5 and will only shut off if you completely turn off your PS5. If you are like me and put yours into Rest mode to allow updates and remote game installs this would normally mean that it will keep running all the time. This was not something I wanted to have happen for fear of ruining either device or wasting power, and did not want to have to manually turn off/on the fan every time either. I did find a bit of a work around that may work for others and is why I decided to leave this review. If you didn't already know you can change the USB power Settings to turn off while it is in Rest mode. Updating to off will make the fan turn completely off while you are not actively using the unit. Now the draw back is if you are using any of the USB ports to charge devices they will no longer continue to charge while in Rest mode. This was not an issue for me as I have the PlayStation controller charger and plugged my Pulse 3D headset into a different outlet. One thing to be aware of with this workaround is that for some reason the fan will shut off, come back on, and then shut off completely after putting the PS5 into Rest mode. Not exactly sure why it does this but I am sure it is due to something in how the PS5 cycles the shut down. Hopefully you find this review useful in making your decision!

The cooling fans arrived today, quick easy install!! Nice look, fans are not loud/noticeable. PS5 makes more noise lol. Can't wait to have a gameathon playing GTA 5 true test to see if the fans can keep the system cool. Right off i liked, Easy install, has 3 modes OFF, On and Auto. They turn on when the heat changes, can feel the heat being sucked out. Can't wait for the true test this weekend. Lol

I got the KIWIHOME Cooling Fan for my PS5, and it works really well! It’s quiet, so I can play for hours without being distracted by noise, and the airflow is strong enough to keep my console cool even during intense gaming sessions. It’s easy to attach and fits perfectly on the PS5 without blocking any ports. The build quality feels solid, and it doesn’t wobble or shift while the console is running. My PS5 stays much cooler now, and I’ve noticed it runs smoother during long sessions. Definitely worth getting if you want to protect your console and improve performance!

Didn’t realize it blows air out not in but it works! Been having an issue with it shutting off from over heating and it didn’t do it at all once installed. I think it would work better if it blew air in instead of out since when it’s standing (where my main issue happens) it still gets the over heating message here and there but it didn’t shut off once and that’s a huge improvement. You can also use it standing or on its side. Slips on in 2 seconds and fits like a glove. Auto mode is great so it turns on and off with the console itself. And the usb port it plugs into isn’t wasted due to the extra one on the fans themselves. Highly recommend, only took away one star since I think it would work better blowing air into it instead of out. But it fixed the main issue I was having with crashes due to over heating. This is the first time in months I could stand it up and not having to lay it down to avoid it overheating and crashing even after cleaning it.

I've had some problems with my PlayStation 5 overheating for awhile now. Long story short I cleaned the interior fan and that helped but it wasn't quite enough so I ended up buying this Cooling Fan to help alleviate that access heat. And what do you know it works wonders. First off I really like that it has the same white aesthetic as my PS5. It also has some pretty cool Blue LED lights that you can have on manually or automatically which I think is cool. The cooling fan was very easy to install All you have to do is have a USB port available on the back of your console. And if you were using that USB port for something else don't worry the cooling fan has one on the back that can be used if needed just think of it as an adapter sort of. I myself use that port for a charger. It is not too bulky and is very sleek looking in my opinion. All in all I would recommend this Cooling Fan if you have a first gen PlayStation 5 just like me the fan speed is pretty good and it has a light and durable frame so it not to in your way

My First time use, looks good, fits good. The fan itself is getting warm but it's keeping cold air on the ps5.

It is good value for the product. My first generation ps5 that I acquired during the scalper crisis through a friend is getting up in age. The console has begun overheating despite never being on carpet and despite me regularly ventilating it and removing dust. This cooling fan has noticeably increased my playtime on hardware intensive games like Battlefield 6 by about 1 to 2 hours. The console still overheats. I'd say this device is more healthy for the console's longevity rather than solving a problem the console may already be having.

Works well but mine has gone out twice, now dont let that scare you the last time I ordered one was in February of 24 and it is almost 2 and a half years later. They last about that long or longer depending on how much usage your system gets. Besides all that its a great fan.

Wow! Fait vraiment la job! Je joue à Palworld, un jeu qui demande vraiment beaucoup d'efforts à ma PS5 première génération. J'en étais à pouvoir jouer à peine 30 minutes avant que la PS se ferme toute seule à cause de la surchauffe. C'était ma dernière tentative avant de décider d'abandonner ce jeu. Le ventilateur est hyper facile à installer! Je peux jouer des heures durant et je n'ai même pas de message d'avertissement de surchauffe. C'est parfait! Je le recommande!

Works well with original ps5. It can change the mode and i use auto only. It works fine with aaa games like wolverine with limited noise compare to my old external fan. Its easy to attach with the console also.
