Well it cuts
Well, it cuts it just isn’t that sharp. As a new knife I expected it to be very sharp, but tried to cut vegetables with it and it was a struggle. I gave it 3 stars because it does cut just as well as it should for a new knife.Very disappointed, if you are wondering why I didn’t send it back, I had used it and didn’t feel it was honest to send them back after using them.

Good, not great.
First, this is a very nice knife. The handle feels nice, and it has a good weight to it. It's neither too heavy nor too light. It also has a nice pattern along the blade.Notice I didn't say it was sharp. Nearly every review on here says how sharp this knife is. It is sharp, but that's not how you judge a knife. You judge it by how well it takes an edge, and how well it holds it. How it cuts, how it balances, and how easy it is to use overall.Stainless steel, for example, holds an edge for a long time, but is very difficult to sharpen and hone. Once it's gone, it's difficult to bring back. Whereas, mild steel is easy to sharpen, but doesn't hold and edge long. Each has it's place, but neither is good for kitchen knives.High carbon steel is a compromise. I holds an edge for a fairly long time, but can be sharpened without excessive effort. This appears to be a well made carbon steel blade. That's good, but like any good blade you will have to take good care of it or it will rust. It was very sharp, but the first thing I noticed was that the edge hadn't been honed. Honing is the final polishing step you take when sharpening a knife. Honing is what makes the blade cut smoothly. After I honed the blade a little, it cut much more smoothly. Before that it was more difficult to control than my mid-'90's Henckels chef's knife which was in need of sharpening. a well honed knife is much easier to control. An unpolished, but sharp, blade will cut well but will be difficult to control.Regardless, this knife did a good job. I was able to chop quickly due to the thin blade. However, the balance felt a little off. I think this may be due to the tang length. The tang is the part of the blade to which the handle is attached. This one appears to be short, and that can affect balance.Overall, I like this knife. But I don't like the balance, and it's a little too thin for my preference. But for the average user this is probably a step up from what he is currently using.

Stabbed a dainty hole in my thumb taking it out of the package so 11/10 for sharpness
This is an excellent knife, especially at the price point. The edge is comparable to many much much more expensive knives I’ve used, so much so that I actually poked a perfect, painless hole in my thumb taking the safety cap off because I didn’t expect it to be THAT sharp for the price, so proceed with both caution and delight. It’s beautiful and warrants display on a visible knife rack, but is also not necessary one you want your guests to grab so weigh that decision carefully.Easily dices, chops, and cuTs sTeAk LiKe bUtTeR. It’s delicate and wieldy enough to (CAREFULLY) use for peeling, but heavy enough to chop beets or even fibroid artichoke stem in one go.This is a great starter “good” knife as a gift or for a budding chef without needing to shell out big for better brands while learning the difference of using “real” chefs knives vs the Walmart standard.

Super sharp, beautiful knife
This is one of the prettiest knives I've ever used. It's durable, SUPER sharp, and fits my hands nicely. It'd make a great gift for anyone, and comes in a really nice box with a magnetic closure- the whole things feels very high class. All in all it's comfortable and easy to control, even when the handle or your hand is wet. I can't get over how nice the blade looks.5/5 stars
