The bacteria itself, but it can come back if you're not maintaining your tank's water change schedule.

Q: Will this solution harm or kill the Amano Shrimp?

I wouldn't recommend this. It did not work at all for me, and about a month later the entire tank crashed and I lost almost all my fish and shrimp. What did work was turning down the lights slightly, running them for a shorter time and lots and lots of water changes and increasing my gfo and carbon usage. Everything suffocated, and this product removes Oxygen, so while I'm not 100 percent sure this product is to blame, I'm pretty darn sure it is. Lesson learned from me for sure. I would not buy it, and I threw the rest away.

Q: Can i use this with a 20 gallon?

Yes. The dosage is one scoop per 15 gallons, and in a 20 gallon aquarium by the time you subtract the area replaced by gravel and ornaments, this should be a perfect dosage.
