I've been very pleased with this purchase so far. It's both user friendly and of good quality. So far, I've used this crock pot twice, once to cook a roast and once for beans, and I'll admit I need more practice because the low and high cooking temperatures were a little more than I was expecting, and as a result, I tended to overcook by estimating the actual amount of cooking time required. No doubt, I will continue to enjoy experimenting with different recipes in the near future and fine tuning the necessary temperature and cooking time.

Great Crockpot, it works perfectly if you're abroad on the 220 volt system. I love that you can set the time to a certain heat and then walk away! Makes dinner prep a lot easier, and encourages me to cook more than I normally would on week nights.

It was hard to find a large 220 crockpot; I like that it has the timer and warm features and not just on and off like most of the others I saw.

No soy de poner cinco estrellas en un producto, pero a este le pondría, qué sé yo, diez, si se pudiera.Poco puedo decir de este invento que no hayáis leído ya en el resto de comentarios. Decir que hablo tantas bondades del chisme que mis amigos ya se están haciendo con una crockpot y ahora, además de series de TV, de películas o de novelas, cuando tomamos unas cervezas, hablamos de las recetas que nos curramos en la crockpot.Recomiendo a todo el mundo al que le guste comer bien y sano que se haga con una de estas. Yo aproveché un black friday o una oferta flash y me compré esta por poco más de 50€, pero esta es grandecita y da para bastantes comensales, si sois dos o tres en casa, con una más pequeña ya hacéis. También hay alguna loca por ahí que tiene dos y tres ollas en casa.Por otro lado, comentar alguna cosilla que creo que os será de interés:- iniciarse en el mundillo es muy fácil, hay páginas web, grupos de telegram, whatsapp o facebook, videos en youtube... Una búsqueda rápida os dará miles de resultados, y si sois de los que os gustan tener libros de recetas en papel, también los hay y en castellano.- aunque sea una "olla lenta", personalmente creo que se gana tiempo. Muchas de las recetas son un "tó pa'dentro", es decir, introducir los ingredientes en la olla, poner el temporizador y olvidarte hasta que tienes que comer. Muchas veces cuando llego de trabajar sobre las 18:30, ponemos alguna cosilla que se haga rápido (3h o así) y ya tenemos la cena hecha mientras nos tomamos algo, o preparas el tupper del día siguiente en 10 minutos y lo dejas cocinar toda la noche mientras duermes (al principio da un poco de cosilla dejarlo sin controlar, ahora es lo más normal del mundo).- a quien os guste comer de cuchara este aparato de obligada compra. Menos mal que mi madre de 82 años no sabe ni lo que es amazon, porque si leyera que mis lentejas, fabada, potaje o todo lo que hago aquí le da mil vueltas a la suya, pillaría un enfado que ni os cuento :P- que los platos de cuchara salgan de escándalo no quita que la olla no pueda con otras cosas, carnes, verduras, pescados o incluso postres, las carnes salen especialmente buenas, con el sabor elevado a la máxima potencia y listas para comer sin cuchillo de lo tiernas que están, pescado hemos cocinado dorada a la sal, exquisita también... aun no hemos preparado un plato exclusivamente de verduras, pero apuesto a que hasta unas acelgas saldrían buenas. Hemos visto quien hace bizcochos u otras piezas de repostería, como en casa no somos muy de dulces, no nos hemos metido.- aunque se pegue muchas horas encendida, el consumo es bajísimo y probablemente muchos platos sean más económicos cocinarlos en la crockpot que hacerlos con la cocina convencional, siempre que tengáis cocina u horno eléctrico, claro.En definitiva, compra recomendadísima para aquellos con poco tiempo para cocinar pero que les encante comer de cuchara o en general que les guste la comida sabrosa.

I very much like how the Crock-Pot Digital Countdown Slow Cooker, 4.7L worksas you can add or deduct time after seeing how the food is cooking is a bonusand very helpful in the learning process of finding how this piece of equipmentworks with different recipes and allows one far more freedom from the start.I decided to work with this cook pot from the beginning in this manner rather then put it on and leave it altogetherby doing so I could observe how slow or how fast each of my recipes were doing and know what to expect another time.It has been so helpful that I have only had a few occasions when I have not used this cooker since it arrived.The slower heat is not a dead slow and the next level up is a very reasonable heat, but you do need to think a headanyhow with a slow cooker.The lovely aroma because all is simmering, fills the home.I was an owner of a very older type cook pot some years ago and it gave up on me after a good many years service and I neverreplaced it until now, I wished I had replaced it sooner but saying that the digital type was not around and I think ifyou are going to get one it is well worth getting this type.The size is just ideal, as I wanted one that could take a reasonable medium joint or meat with vegetable'sand for four of us it is ideal size for a good 4 medium/larger portions or for putting aside a couple of portionsfor freezer or have the next day.If you go for a smaller cook pot, it will not allow you these options.The size for the worktop is comfortable.The 2 heat settings are very good and the keep warm is so handy.I really do not see the need of a recipe book as most things cooked in an oven can be cookedin this cook pot, however take a little care as the side walls of the cook pot does get hot.The handy see through glass lid has a little hole through the top to let steam out, you need to be aware of thisbecause this can hold a very little water after washing up and will drip when wiping up but soon dries out. I recently cooked: liver and bacon with red/green peppers, onions with beef bouillon and rice, it came out very tasty.Pork/ Lamb joints, meat balls also Milk puddings, egg custard, bread and butter pudding and soups.If you have any doubt about this cook pot, do not it is a very handy piece of equipment saving a great deal onenergy costs not having to heat the main cooker and allowing to cook the more economical meats and veryhandy in the summer months when a main cooker will give out a greater amount of heat.I am pleased with it and hope it will give us as many years use as the last one did, which was 15 years.

Great product. Had this model before and it was reliable for many many years. The product as delivered does not come with a UK earthed plug, only a two-pin plug so you'll need a fused adapter or UK standard power lead I believe
