Sweet relief.
I discovered I had bed bugs after three months of bites that I thought were allergic hives. I spent hundreds of dollars on doctors and different prescriptions, and after waking up one day completely covered in new "hives," I lifted my mattress on a whim and saw two bed bugs. I have no idea where they came from or how they got there. Nightmare!! I immediately called an exterminator, and he suggested that I encase the mattress and boxspring of my bed, in addition to treating my apartment and meticulous washing and drying of all our clothes in hot water and thorough vacuuming. I spent alot of time researching the different styles of encasements, and decided to buy this brand, based on the reasonable price, but more because of the five-star rating these encasements received from other buyers. I bought encasements for my mattress and box spring, as well as the pillows. I moved my bed away from the wall, and slid Climb-Up traps under each leg of my bed frame. I also dusted all the baseboards, my nightstands, and my dressers with diatomaceous earth. I have a standard mattress and box spring, and these encasements fit almost perfectly (slightly roomy, but not gigantic). They were very easy to put on, and once the sheets went on, you couldn't detect them at all. (Side note, I love how they make my matresses look fresh and white!) They don't make any noise when you're sleeping, have no odor, and since I've encased my mattresses, I haven't been bitten. I admit that bed bugs have left me paranoid and scarred for life. I'm still a little psychotic about falling asleep at night, but I have no reason to be. These encasements truly do what they are supposed to do. I will never take them off, and I will put them on every mattress I ever buy in the future, as a prophylactic measure so that I never have to deal with bed bugs again. If you're in any situation that resembles mine, don't hesitate to choose this brand of mattress encasement. You will not be disappointed.

... Is keeping our cat from clawing our new box spring
This is an excellent product, even better than I was expecting. The zipper encompasses three of the four edges so that the "encasement" is extremely easy to put on -- and take off, should you want to. The zipper is also "tight," so much so that it's pretty much invisible once it's closed (preventing virtually anything, even very tiny things, from getting to your box spring). I bought this for the new box spring/foundation we've had, as I write, for barely two weeks. We bought the box spring and this encasement, along with a new mattress, for our home bed where bedbugs and other such creatures are not a problem. Instead, I got it in hopes that one of our cats -- who daily was using several corners of our previous nine-year-old box spring as a scratching post -- would stay away from this new box spring due to the VERY tight weave of this encasement. It's working. Roo was, from day 1, far less interested in it, and after systematically redirecting her away from it (she certainly knows what "NO!" means) she is now, instead, using the actual scratching post that's in the bedroom, as our other cats do. Roo is likely not very interested because she can't actually tear the encasement fabric or stick her claws into it in the (to her) same satisfying way she could into the previous box spring. If her claws were very sharp (we keep them trimmed) they might leave pin-point punctures the fabric (she's a small cat, with small claws), but this encasement's fabric is just not tearable. By extension, this encasement must certainly also work to keep out bedbugs, et al, as it's intended. Considering the unusual fabric and zipper, how well this is made, and how much good bedding materials cost these days, the price, I think, is also pretty reasonable.

SafeRest Waterproof Bed Bug Zippered Bags are great so far
The fabric is soft, no odor, no crunchy noise; the zipper is very fine and the pull tab is covered by a velcro tab when the cover is zipped closed. It is relatively easy to cover both the box springs and mattress without help. Fortunately, I covered the box spring first and it took a couple minutes to figure out the best way to do it. After that, the mattress was a breeze (other than the weight of the mattress). I did find one bed bug and a baby on the bottom of the box spring when I lifted it, so was happy I had the covers in hand. It had been a couple days since I vacuumed and washed everything in hot water before the covers arrived so I'm glad I found only the two. The covers will remain in place for a full year. Having read others' reviews, I have all bed frame feet sitting in Chinese carryout containers with lids underneath and boric acid (or you can use diatomaceous earth/DE) dusted in the lid and the cup to keep any stray bugs contained. Both are desiccants. The bed is also 12" away from the wall. I have no idea how these critters appeared other than via adjoining neighbors. I live in a 1942 end-unit row house and several houses in this neighborhood are full of transient tenants. The neighbors have a mattress out for trash pickup as I write this. I originally discovered the problem when I noticed itching on the back of my shoulder and saw brown spots on the sheet just below the pillow. I went online and thought it might be bedbugs. I found quite a few (too many....yuck....gross) plump and squished bugs inside pillow covers that came with a bedspread that I had purchased and were leaning against the wall, so it's a good idea to make your bed an island. It was a great hiding place for them.

DON'T BE FOOLED BY THINKING THIS COULD NOT HAPPEN TO YOU....BED BUGS ARE EVERYWHERE!
These are great. We had an unfortunate problem with bedbugs after my son spent two months in a group home. They knew they had a problem with them and supposedly had taken care of it. Everything I brought home from there was bagged and immediately brought to the Laundromat to be washed at high temperature and put in dryer on high for 30 minutes....Too late, he must have brought one or two of the buggers home on a visit before we knew anything about it. We tried the home store sprays but ultimately had to pay a thousand dollars to an exterminator. His recommendation was to buy covers for box springs and beds, which we did. My only complaint with the king box spring covers was that they were "extra long" and would have fit much better in the standard size. I guess it would have been a problem if they were too small so that was no biggie. There were other products on the market that were "bed bug certified" but these were more reasonable. Word to the wise...after much anguish and a lot expense and research we made a bad choice. We moved our son out of his "infested" room to a spare bedroom and threw his mattress and box spring away. DO NOT EVER DO THIS....THEY WILL TRAVEL LONG DISTANCES TO FIND A HOST. WE ENDED UP WITH A FEW IN TWO ROOMS BUT MANY IN THE ROOMS MY SON INHABITED. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND BUY COVERS FOR ALL OF YOUR MATTRESSES AND BOX SPRINGS. IT IS WORTH THE AGONY, STRESS AND EXPENSE THAT COMES ALONG WITH THESE CRITTERS. BELIEVE ME, WE ARE CLEAN PEOPLE THAT CHANGE OUR SHEETS, KEEP OUR HOUSE CLEAN AND DO NOT HAVE BUGS, EXCEPT FOR AN OCCASIONAL ANT!!

Perfect fit, Superb Quality, Excellent zipper system
If I could give a 10 rating I would. Made the purchase as one more thing I can do to fight the bed bugs. The material is almost silk like, very smooth, and is high-end quality. Zipper system never got stuck onto the material around the zipper, not once. Very impressed with how smooth the zipper closed/operated. Velcro covers the zipper at its final closed destination. I have a cal-king bed and the length(84"), width(36"), height(9"), of the box spring covers, was a perfect fit. I sleep better at night that I have the SafeRest Premium box spring encasement protecting me. My bedroom is secure from bedbugs so far. I assume the product was manufactured here in the Great USA, as there were no "Made in China" logos on product. Probably why the fit was perfect. The Bed Bug Battle, what has worked for me. All items were purchased on Amazon website. The SafeRest box spring covers, ClimbUp Insect Interceptor 6 1/4" x 6 1/4" x 5'box of 12, for under bedroom furniture feet, including bed, dresser, night stand etc, JT Eaton Kills BEDBUGS Powder around baseboard where carpet and baseboard meet. Also purchased the Euroflex Monster Steam-Jet-II 1200w floor steamer and use it on the carpets to fry them as the steamer gets to 200+ degrees. Vaccuum before and after the Monster. And of course keep everything up off the floor, and wash sheets regularly. Keep a set of clothes you wear for bed ONLY! Use other clothes for sitting in living room furniture where I also have bedbugs. So far all this is working. And take a shower every night before bed. The SafeRest Premium box spring encasement cover is a must, as bed bugs can hide easily out of sight. Good Luck if your fighting Bed Bugs and don't give up. Be consistent with vaccuuming also. It's a lot of work, time consuming, but when you see the results,no bites, its very satisfying.

Bugs Defeated
We are heading into our third year in what is probably the worst apartment complex in our area. The professional pest control they employ is, I presume, the cheapest they can find; their spotty visits are basically pointless. After two years of fighting roaches (and the occasional mouse) in our fourth floor unit, we suspected that we would not escape a bedbug invasion forever. It finally hit not long ago, going mostly untreated for a couple of weeks because we could not afford to take harsher measures than vigorous vacuuming and frequent washing of the bedding. (We've been stuck in this pit of an apartment complex for a reason.) When we could finally spare the funds, I considered cheaper options for a bedbug encasement, but decided that it was worth it to me to spring for higher quality. I have not been disappointed. After soaking the harborage area I found in the box spring with Harris Toughest Bed Bug Killer, Gallon Spray , I put this cover into place. The nightly attacks have stopped suddenly. I believe neither my husband nor I have gotten fresh bites since, despite the alarming number of bugs at various stages I found in our box spring. I have a response to the several pictures of bedbug feces clustered around the zipper closure for this and the matching mattress cover. I am not a pest professional and this is the first time I've had to deal with the mini-menace, but I would guess, based on what I've seen, that those bugs are not entering or exiting the box spring, but coming from elsewhere in the room and clustering around the zipper closure because it's as close as they are going to get to a hiding place on this cover. Remember that bedbugs are insidious; treat the whole room/house with extreme prejudice or an undiscovered nest will simply replenish the population. Everything I read says that you have to continue treating until it is completely certain that there are no more viable bugs. Even before I was able to purchase this item, I chose to wash everything on the bed every two days, spraying--at a minimum--the mattress, box spring, and baseboards with a small canister of poison that I bought for the interim. I continued this treatment schedule after adding the SafeRest cover until the bites had almost all healed and could not be mistaken for new ones. I plan to move to once a week at this point, and I'll see how I feel about it when my gallon of poison runs out. Regardless, I credit this encasement with part of the success we have had.

Great material and for Low Profile Box Spring! Good investment!
I recently had allergy testing done at a very good hospital. Everything they tested me for was positive and also 3-4. 4 being the highest allergic response. I was told to encase mattress and box spring in allergy, dust might proof case. I was told not to go out and spend a lot of money. In the end they all do what they are suppose to do. I bought to xl long twins because we have a king size bed. Easy to put on. One of the few that had covers for low profile. I knew that if I got a regular size the cats would play underneath and end up ripping it. I did not realize how nice and strong the material would be. I noticed a difference right away, but I also did other things in the bedroom to cut down on allergens. In the past I spent over 200 to do mattress, box spring and 2 pillow. The material was so thick and cotton on one side plastic on the other side. That was for a full size bed. These products have come a long way! It is easy to get sucked into thinking the ones on the allergy sites have to be better, but they really are not. This even came with a zip tie for the zipper after closed with velcro tab. Extra zip ties were included!

Great price, high quality
Great price, high quality, delivered fast. Allowed us to protect our box spring after steaming it, which gave us tremendous peace of mind with a bedbug scare in our building. The zipper goes all the way around the cover, which makes it MUCH easier to install than most, and the fabric is smooth and strong. Perfect fit for the lower profile box springs (the ones that come with extra-deep mattresses). Would definitely purchase from this seller again.

Satified with boxspring cover.
It's very neat. Very white. Exceĺlent stitching and zipper. A little big for the boxspring. Not sure how thick my boxspring is, but at least 7inches possibly 1 or 2 inches more. Its about 10years old. Very fast delivery. Would definitely recommend. It's very easy to put on the matress. The hidden zipper goes all the way around 3 sides of the boxspring.

Great value
Love this product. They stand up to their promise. Mattresses are expensive to begin with only makes sense to protect it. Especially if you live in an apartment building where all kinds of people come and go.....bring...taking....roaches....bedbugs....should I go on?

It is sturdy, it fits to perfection on the box spring ...
It is difficult to give such a product 5 stars when you consider its use. However, being unlucky, I have had to use similar products in the past, purchased directly from a large box discount store. For a very similar price, the SafeRest product is of much greater quality. It is sturdy, it fits to perfection on the box spring and it locks it up the way it is supposed to. I will not go back to the big box store for such products in the future (although hoping not to need them).

So far works great. Found it to be on the big side.alot of extra material. But better to have more material than not enough. Like the zipper with Velcro on the end
