Great small slipjoint knife
Let me get something out of the way first - this is a non-locking knife. It's a slipjoint, meaning that there is a back spring that keeps pressure on the blade when open but doesn't lock, similar to a Swiss Army Knife. That said, the way the knife handle is designed it's nearly impossible to close the blade on your fingers but I still wouldn't use this as a heavy duty knife.Alright, with that out of the way let's discuss the actual knife. The ergonomics are excellent, with a easy three finger grip and a palm swell to ensure that the knife remains comfortable at all times. The thumb ramp is jimped with Spyderco's standard angled grinding, which when combined with the finger choils provides for a very secure grip. The handle is made of some sort of reinforced nylon. Very tough but there is a little bit of flex. Oddly enough, this knife doesn't use the standard Spyderco volcano grip pattern, but instead uses a distinct checkering for handle grip. It's still effective for providing grip, even with gloves on. The knife can be opened comfortable with one hand but closing is best done with both hands. Finally, the knife uses Spyderco's fantastic deep-carry wire clip, secured by a single screw that can be swapped for left or right, tip-up carry. The blade is wide and uses a full flat grind, making the knife an excellent slicer. The short, leaf-shaped blade and (relatively) straight grind allow for good detail work but for smaller hands it can be difficult to lay your index finger along the top of the blade. The blade steel is the very excellent N690Co, which in usage is very similar to VG10. This steel takes a very keen edge with good retention, as well as surprisingly easy sharpening.Overall, this is a great lightweight, easy carry knife. It would be perfect as a small EDC knife due to the incredibly low weight and deep carry clip, or where laws would prevent you from carrying something larger. I live in a location where laws limiting size for knives aren't an issue but I still carry this knife regularly because it's that good. Definitely worth a look.

Euro and Urban acceptable mini pocket knife
The UK and other parts of Europe have more stringent laws concerning casual knives carried in public.Generally these rules prohibit locking blade folders and blade edges longer than 3". The Spyderco Ladybug3 is a popular, small, and effective "keychain" size knife that rivals the Swiss Army Classic for everyday usefulness for both men and women who need to cut things. (The Ladybug is likely more chosen by those who actually need to cut open or break down things like packages and cardboard boxes.) But the Ladybug is a lockback folder, despite its diminutive 2-1/2" long (1-3/4" blade) size. So now comes the Spyderco Squeak, part of the "SlipIt" family of non-locking folders specifically designed for the UK and Europe markets, and the smallest so far of this line. It's finely made in Italy, and uses European N690CO steel (very high quality, taking and holding a very sharp edge). Now the Squeak is a bit bigger than the Ladybug, measuring 3" long (2" blade) and about 1/4" taller. Not only that, but the Squeak's blade is about 0.1" thick while the Ladybug's is about 0.075". So the Squeak is a more robust little knife as well. In hand, the grip of the Squeak is solid, much more solid than the Ladybug. The Squeak's choil top and bottom give confidence and control, actually helping to prevent accidental closure and controlling the closing of the knife. Instead of the keyring hole of the Ladybug, the Squeak has a pocket clip that can be screwed down onto either side. Personally I think the size of this knife makes use of a pocket clip a risk for slipping out of one's pocket. I've removed it from mine and will carry it in my jean's 5th pocket whenever I travel to places where knives are frowned upon or restricted by law as in Europe. Like the Ladybug, the Squeak is a cutting tool far more effective than its size suggests. While I prefer such small knives in Serrated Edge for even greater cutting power, the Squeak is only available in Plain Edge; but its Plain Edge is no slouch in cutting effectiveness. Pink? Well, as far as I know there's is (or was) a contribution for Cancer charity associated with this knife - that's a good thing. And I really don't care too much for black handles - too easy to overlook and forget if set down while doing something; I prefer orange or the yellow handles Spyderco uses with its H1 rust-proof "Salt" series... Pink? That's fine, too... Easy to spot. Price from this vendor was very good, and shipping was quick.

Spyderco Squeak
This little knife is a great knife. It's perfect if you want something small and light to just carry around whether it be as an EDC(Every Day Carry) or a work knife. The blade is surprisingly thick for such a small knife but it's not too thick and is very thin at the edge for excellent slicing ability. It doesn't lock open but feels extremely solid when open although there's no lock. I don't worry about it closing on my fingers at all.The knife can fill even a large hand very well. The choil at the beginning of the blade really helps with this and allows for a fuller grip and more control of the blade. The knife is small, thin, and light, but it's a very solid knife. It doesn't feel fragile at all and is perfect for those who want a smaller knife. The wire pocket clip is a great option for those that don't want the knife sticking out of their pocket or don't like the idea of it drawing attention. It also rides deeper in the pocket so if you don't want to lose it you feel a little more secure.Overall - Spyderco makes a great product and this one is certainly no different.

Great quality little knife
I originally bought a spyderco ukpk but due to the size of the blade, it looked very intimidating and I didnt feel comfortable using it at work or in public. This knife just looks cute and wouldnt alarm anyone buts its just as capable as the ukpk. The blade may be shorter but the steel is far better and is razor sharp. As with all Spyderco knives it is designed to fit perfectly when holding and it opens with one hand. The build quality is perfect.I would say the UKPK is great for use around the house but the sharper blade and non aggressive looks of the squeak make it perfect for every day carry.

One of the best knives for the UK.
This is such a nice small knife. Great steel quality, keeps an edge nicely, is small, UK legal, less threatening looking than it's larger (still UK legal) relatives. A great office-friendly knife.I have reprofiled the edge to try and make it more trianglular like my old Dragonfly that is many years old. It is not quite what I hoped for but it's almost a triangle point shape. I find a full triangle with a fine acute point is better at piercing through heavy plastic than a more chunky less defined point.
