Love this murphy bed!
Read the directions. Read the directions. And read them again. This is a big project and if you don’t read and follow directions, you’ll end up with a 1- or 2-star review. I’m not a master craftsman but I think that this kit turned out amazing. I used the folding hardware and mattress base and left some of the screws and other parts out because I was constructing an entire built in bookcase. The instructions were well done and all the parts were included. We got a mattress from Amazon and have used it regularly for guests for a couple of months now and ut works flawlessly.

Possible Federal Recall on This Unit - Please double check before ordering
I am pretty sure this kit has been recalled as of 1/18 due to injuries and dangerous operation. Check with Rockler website before purchasing!!

Great bed hardware!
Great product that made making a Murphy bed easy! My Dr. Who fan of a son loves his bed. We made this a couple years ago and it still works great!

Problem with these. Instruction says plywood. But that's ...
Problem with these. Instruction says plywood. But that's not heavy enough to hold it down. We had to bolt it to floor. That defeats the purpose of the Murphy bed. When questioned we were told add weight to it or return it. We have several hundred dollars in this bed. We followed instructions completely. It WILL NOT stay down.
