What am i doing wrong, when it rains i get water in the can (and yes to others asking if it holds water)

I am having the same issue, not sure if water is coming in at the bottom or what, when it rains there is water in the bottom. The top and bag inside are completely dry so not sure how it's getting in. Otherwise love this on our deck!!

Hello Jarak, The hinge is a metal rod that connect the lid to the base and no it cannot be removed.

When pulling out a full bag do any ridges on the inside of the can rip the bag?

Yes. You seriously need to be a weight lifter to get a full garbage bag out. The can lifts up when you pull on the bag and you have to try to hold it with your feet and pull. Honestly, a two man job.

I would like to purchase the removeable rim inside? I have this in our courtyard and one of the residents discarded it and now the bags aren't secure
