Intex Wet Vinyl Plastic Repair Patch. 6 Count

First of all: I think the reviewer stating that this is not a repair patch simply got unlucky and was shipped the wrong product (which I hope he/she returned). I ordered this June 2012 to patch a hole under water (close to the bottom) of my 2000 gallon above ground Intex pool and it was as advertised (6 patches) and one year later is holding up great one year later. I also used it on 3 other spots.Pros:- Works well (holding up after a year)- Requires no glue etc. (just peel off paper)- Works under water and can be applied while pool is filled!- Great price (other kits are around $20 and require using glue etc)- Is hardly noticeable (if applied carefully as not to trap air bubbles followed by applying pressure)Cons:- None so far (other than that one customer at least has apparently received the wrong shipment).FYI: my experience fixing a hole under the water line.I cleaned both the inside and outside and then first applied the inside patch (while my pool was filled with water). Then applied pressure, and put on the outside patch. To my complete surprise, one year later (after being used all summer long and now having set up my pool again) it still works great. Also, the patches are see through and you hardly notice them. No hassle with glue or anything.One recommendation: cut the square patches into circles (otherwise the corners can start to let go).

The swimming pool tube was stored in the barn over the winter and one of the visiting ridents took a bite out of it. The hole it left was big as you can see from the photos and a normal tube patch did not work. After I applied the patch I let ir set over nighy before airing it. It has worked well for a week now. Saved a tube for the kids.Thank you for your patch.

Worked as expected when applied correctly.

The product is very easy to use, but even after applying to a clean dry surface and waiting well over 30 minutes to refill the pool, it still leaks. More slowly at least. I did the outside and the inside of the pool. The inside over started peeling away on its own after a day.

These patch it up when others won’t. If it’s about to sink, they will make it float. They patched my hole, when so many others won’t. Please by this patch you’ll regret it if you don’t!

This product does not work. I specifically purchased Intex brand patches because I thought I was getting the best patch for my inflatable kayak. I followed the instructions on the package. It immediately failed and here is why. The patch is made from a firm plastic and does not stretch with the vinyl as it expands when inflated. The adhesive is thin and not "gummy" enough to stick to the textured surface of the vinyl. I ended up using Gorilla tape which has a very gummy adhesive needed to stick well. I would imagine Flex Seal tape or a roofing tape would work well too.

Les doy un tip no lo sabía jaja el parche se puede cortar y solo utilizar lo necesario para el orificio yo lo usé en un inflable para patear y excelente!!! Y en fugas de agua también
