Very Good Product. Does what is says it will do. Love it. Very easy to actually use. So far I have had no issues. BUT the only thing I didn't understand is that for any 8mm FILM....you can ONLY TAKE SNAP SHOTS of the Film and are NOT able to copy it from the film directly onto your PC or the card that this unit can use. So I will need another machine (they make one) for the film copying I want to do. But for the slides and negatives and for shots of a film this is THE Product! I would highly recommend this product and this Seller.

Note that this is not a scanner it is more like a camere and each has its pros and cons. If you need high quality images this is not the tool but for snapshots it will do a decent job especially on black and white and save you loads of time compared to scanning. In fact it has an advantage that it seem not to record dust and hair on films as faithfully as a scanner. Colours are in most cases acceptable but I find that thin or very light parts of films will be almost bright yellow, not white as in a scanner. This is annoying but can sometimes be remedied by adjusting the exposure. It would be a great advantage to be able to see the results of adjusted exposure live while playing with the controls. The unit it self is nicely built and easy to work with. The screen is large enough and has acceptable resolution for the purpose and the controls allow for most things one needs. Film holders are a bit clumsy and take some time getting used to but they are well marked with the purpose of each holder so one always knows which one to use. I need top quality scans of many of my films to be able to work with them and those I will use a scanner for but I also have a lot of films, family shots, travel memories etc., which do not need such quality and are better enjoyed as viewable images on a screen to share with family and friends rather than locked away in storage. For that purpose the Wolverine Titan serves adequetly. The unit it self and ease of operating gets my five stars but if I compare image quality output to scanned images iI give it three stars which is not bad, really.

I read reviews on just about every slide and film scanner available before landing on this one. I have to admit that even though I've been shooting slide film since the late sixties and I also needed to scan my fathers slides, I really only had about 450-500 slides to scan. So while I usually do buy quite expensive photo gear, I decided to try an economy unit, after all if you don't spend a lot on one and the results aren't great, well then what have you to complain about? However this little Wolverine scanner works great! And the complaints about slow scanning are false. I got a routine down right away and for all the slides I had to scan I spent only a couple of hours one afternoon. In other words I was done in no time. The picture quality is fantastic! This little scanner corrected for incorrect white balance without me making any adjustments at all. When I was 15 years old I was developing Kodak Ektachrome film using the Kodak E4 processing kit. One day while bringing one of the developers to temp. I broke the bottle of developer in the pot of water on a hot plate as was my method. In a crazy quick decision I reached for a bottle of Kodak D-76 B&W developer. The result was all the shots on that roll of film were very blue. When I scanned these slides with the Wolverine scanner they all came out color corrected! I just couldn't be happier with this little unit and recommend it to anyone looking for one to purchase. The sample photo was taken in 1956.

This is for sure easy to use. However, it scans so dark and pixelated that the pictures are unusable. If you blow up the photo on the left, you can't see faces. But using my computer to read the slide, the faces are clear. I had hoped for something easier than using my computer and this scanner, while very easy to use, doesn't give me a usable end product.

Good quality. Can't wait to use it for my negatives and slides. And help others with scanning theirs.

I had high hopes this product would help me digitize thousands of 35mm slides, most of which were landscape shots taken on wilderness backpacking and mountaineering trips (many with people included in the shots). Unfortunately, the resolution was not acceptable to me (not even close). The unit also often arbitrarily cropped the converted (digitized) images. This was (barely) acceptable when it cropped the image on the far left or right border, as moving the slide slightly either direction before converting allowed me to choose which side would be cropped. But many of my mountain photos were cropped at the *top* of the image, leaving the mountain's peak chopped off (often to a large extent), and there was no way to adjust the orientation of the slide before converting to prevent that from happening. Although the unit has embedded software that allows you to adjust the exposure level and RGB color saturation independently of one another (including independently for each color), I found that there are no optimal control settings that work for all slides in a group. That is to say, although I may have a dozen slides that all look excellent when viewed with a slide projector, the converted images result in some being overexposed, others underexposed, some with colors too saturated, others with colors too subdued, and so on. So, if you're going to try to get each converted image to look acceptable, it's going to take a lot of work, adjusting exposure and RGB values slide by slide as you convert a batch. No single group setting of software controls seemed to preserve the color and exposure balance for all slides that previously looked like they needed no processing when viewed on a projector. But worst of all, I found the resolution to be very poor. Most of the fine detail in my slides was lost in the digitized images, making the digitized images degraded to the point where I knew I would never want to view them. I ended up returning my purchase, which thankfully was hassle-free due to Amazon's excellent return policy and procedure.

There are a large number of of Slide/Negative scanners out there. But, unless you're willing to spent a few hundred to a few thousand dollars on a premier system, this will do an adequate job. I have a good flat bed scanner with high resolution capability, but I also have several hundred slides and negatives and didn't want to spend days or weeks digitizing them. I got mine for just under $115.00 on Amazon Smile. It didn't come with an SD card, which was fine as I had plenty already, and this contributed to the lower price. All of the carriers were included, you do not need extras. And included was a brush that you will need to periodically wipe the unit with. I liked the ability to adjust color and intensity, to flip or invert an image at will. And connecting it to a large screen TV with an HDMI cable (not included) gives a very good preview prior to the scan. I'm disappointed that the device crops the edges, I'd have favored a black band around a compete image to losing a portion. Also, there is a bit of play in the carriers that can allow the image to not be perfectly perpendicular. I noticed this to the greatest degree when using negatives from a panoramic camera. It does do old 110 negatives, although they're too short to feed completely through and I had to pull the carrier and position the negative for each photo. 35mm negatives may catch as the negatives tend to curl, but most fed through just fine, The system claims 20 megapixels, this is generally a meaningless term as the optic sensor determines the output quality. I feared this might produce extremely large files, but the result averaged about 5MB. I was surprised at how degraded some of my slides/negatives had become. If you're trying to make a decision to buy I wouldn't put if off, even if you select a different model. Time is not your friend.

The product was delivered on time and as promised. It took some time to understand how to scan, but once you get the hang of it, its a breeze. The resolution of the images is not very high quality, but being a Fine Art Printmaker, I could make a high quality print of upto A4. Very handy and definitely a must-have for those who work with film cameras.

Works exactly as described and is very easy to use. I bought it because I have alot of family slides from my late father and wanted to convert them so I could put some photos on a digital frame for Mum. The photo shown that has been converted by the Wolverine converter was taken in February 1962. This is a brilliant unit for this purpose. Quick, Quiet, and Easy to do. Only thing I would say to improve would be to include larger trays to do more slides at a time rather than one reload one reload and so on. But mall price to pay for many happy life memories being able to be shown in a modern way.

Arrived as scheduled. Quick to scan out of the box. A bit of searching to figure out how to download but then was able to scan 500+ images in one night. Very useful as some of my negatives from 35 years ago are starting to degrade and so much cheaper than paying a company to convert. These are more for preserving the memories and to store so huge super high resolution files would not be an advantage. The automatic conversion of colour negatives to a colour photo file is great - consistent with the original prints. Seen some of the criticisms on colour and resolution. Would say the colour is faithful to the negative inserted in the whole. If you want super high resolution scanning then the $2K plus machine is probably what you want, but isn’t necessary for those of us scanning personal photos for archiving.
