This grease coupler works extremely well. It provides a very secure, tight hold on grease zerk fittings, which allows for better grease transfer and significantly less mess compared to standard couplers. The spring in the coupler feels strong and well-built, giving you confidence that it won’t pop off under pressure. It is slightly longer and a bit bulkier than the original couplers that come on most grease guns (both electric and manual), but that actually works in its favor. In tight spots where you can’t wiggle or twist the coupler to disconnect it, this one saves a lot of frustration. No more yanking on the hose or fighting to get it off the fitting. Works great! Putting grease in a zerk has never been easier! Squeeze the head, place over zerk, release and the couple does the rest. When you’re done, just squeeze the head and it comes right off. No wrestling to get it off a zerk, it doesn’t pop off when you’re working it hard.

It works very well with my HF Hercules battery powered lube tool. Only problem i have encountered is having to clean zerk coupler after just a few fittings. Otherwise coupler will not seal. Slows the lubrication process.

Lock and lube grease couplers are awesome! Can’t say enough good things about them. Have one on every single grease gun I own and will continue to install them on any future grease guns i get. They are absolutely essential for a lever style manual grease gun! Still nice to have on a pistol grip, or an air or battery powered grease gun, especially if you use attachments like needle tips and right angle adapters! Do yourself a favor and try one, I guarantee you’ll never go back to a traditional grease coupler again.

This isn't a must have, but its worth having if you grease more than a lawnmower once a year. It does a decent job of staying on the grease fitting if you have to connect at a slight angle. its not perfect, if you have zerks with worn catches or more extreme angles it still leaks. The lever is a little bit difficult to depress but maybe I'm a wimp or my hands are the ideal dimensions. The only thing not to like about it is that often times on tractors/implements/loaders you have to reach the hose into a difficult spot and it won't fit - its annoying to have to switch couplers. In general lock n lube makes pretty good stuff. The packaging is good enough to keep components in place (compared to other companies that send stuff in organizers that turn into a jumble of crap in the shipping process)

I bought this LockNLube coupler thinking it would help greasing the myriad zerks that stud tractors and some trucks. The coupler worked great, so I bought another one for my other grease gun that has a different grease. Drawbacks: a little larger than a push on / pull off coupler, so in rare instances access is difficult to impossible; somewhat costly; sometimes have to push the handle (spring not strong enough) to keep coupler on zerk, usually due to bad angle of access to zerk. Advantage: you know those fittings that were manufactured just a tad oversize? And the push on coupler just won't pull off without the fear of breaking the zerk off? Not a problem for this coupler. This feature I like a lot. Another advantage: I have a right angle upper ball joint zerk that when tight faces the knuckle-- can't get a coupler on it unless the zerk is loosened by 3/4 turn. Push on coupler generates a lot of cursing getting on and off a loose right angle zerk; this LockNLube is perfect even in the tight space. This ability alone was worth the cost, not greasing a ball joint is a recipe for future expenses. Finally, the LockNLube usually clamps onto the zerk really tightly. A stuck zerk is more easily freed with this coupler than the push on type especially when there isn't leverage to lean on a push on to keep the push on from backing off a little just blowing out grease. Overall this is a worthwhile tool addition. For many easy access zerks the coupler doesn't buy much over the stock push on coupler, but for a significant percentage of the difficult zerks this coupler can save time, effort, and perhaps make the difference between that grease point getting greased or neglected as too difficult.

The frustration of grease guns and Grease fitting tips can be harder than it ever needs to be. As a longtime Mechanic of many years the old joke for worn out and broken equipment is "Too much Grease" This happens to hardest to reach or worn out half plugged zerk fitting that winds up not taking the grease. These wonderful inventions get the tough job done. They grab hold of the Zerk fitting forcing it to take grease without needing 3 or four hands or getting out the big hammer. They aren't cheap but it makes it take the grease, Now! No hands. Job ONE! They all need to take the grease. I recommend it.
