Aging Scalp Care Hair Care Brush

I'm in my 60's so needless to say that I have been through A LOT of hairbrushes in my lifetime. My hair has always been pretty thick and as a result, I've always bought boar hair brushes. After every use, when I would clean it, I would end up with a big glob of hair from the brush. So, I just thought that my hair was starting to fall out. I needed a new brush and, in my research I came across this one. I thought, jeez, I don't know, nylon bristols? looks like it might be too whimpy to cut through my thick gray hair. But I liked the idea that you can use it to scrub your scalp while shampooing. So, I bought it. ONE OF THE BEST DECISIONS I'VE EVER MADE! This is truly one of the best brushes I've ever owned and I love it. Yes it's soft, but it cuts through thick hair so smoothly and even better... not as much hair to clean off as all my previous brushes (that I think now was pulling my hair out). The quality is excellent. And I think it's because it is actually made in Japan - which still adhere to good quality. I'm going to order another one to keep for traveling. It be nice if it came with a traveling case to put it in so it wouldn't get smooshed in your suit case. Anyways, hope this helps anyone that might be researching new hair brushes.

Best hairbrush I’ve ever had. Just received the brush today and had to pop in and say how pleased I am. I’m 71 yrs old so guess I qualify for an aging scalp. lol! But this should be great for all ages. Kids with sensitives scalpes would love this too. I have long wavy hair, medium thickness hair that tangles easily and this brush slides through with ease. Bristles are long and soft and don’t rip your hair out. Feels great on your scalp too! I can’t imagine anyone not liking this brush. Shipping was quick. Great brush! Price is great too.😁

A wonderful brush—I use it with pleasure; it doesn't damage my hair. It features a beautiful color and a comfortable handle. The bristles are arranged at different levels, making this brush a delight to use for a scalp massage.

I use this for myself and my 2 year old daughter. The bristles are really soft so they’re gentle, but still really good at detangling. Love it.

This is a lovely hairbrush! I have very long hair and this is gentle enough that it doesn't cause any breaks, yet it's not so soft that it doesn't do its job. Have had mine for three years now and it has not lost any bristles. It's also easy to wash. My husband tried the brush it and loved it, so we got him one, too. I bought a third just in case I ever lose mine!

I'm like so many others, in denial about the age thing, so I tend to resist anything that suggests the item is designed for old people. I thought at first it was just a gimmick, but the brush is well designed and softer on the scalp. Ikemoto has done a great job once again. If the price was lower, I would have purchased three more, one for the bathroom cabinet, one for the glove box in my car, one for my dresser in my room and one for my man cave. Lower the price and make a three pack... that's my suggestion.

This brush gets through my very fine and dense curly hair better than any other I've used before. It can be used both on wet or dry hair without any issues. Super easy to clean with simply some soap and water. The handle is contoured for comfort and a good grip. Very high quality product from Japan at a good price. Update: Still using this as of 2026. I've dropped the brush a few times and it still hasn't broken. All the balls on the ends of the bristles are still perfectly attached. I purchased a Giorgio Gentle 1 for comparison and it doesn't even come close to how flexible the bristles on the Du-Boa are.

Bought for myself but ended up using it for my elderly Mom. It’s gentle for a sensitive scalp. Will probably purchase again.
