Crystal Cal Activated Carbon – Large Jar, Activated Charcoal for Aquariums and Fish Tanks

My husband is in the salt water hobby, and uses activated carbon for his tank. He was purchasing it from another company that was double the price for the same amount. When we saw that Kolar Labs sold it, he was so excited to try their product since he has been habit with their other products! It is working so far, the size of the carbon is exactly what we were needing, and it has lasted quite a bit now in his system. Definitely will purchase again!

Good product used to filter water after medication is used then I replace with seachem purigen

Buying filter carbon cartridges for both canister or aquarium filters that hang on the back can get expensive. This is a way to reduce the cost by buying the activated carbon in bulk, then purchasing mesh zip up bags to fill. (Bags are not included). On jar of this carbon will fill a lot of bags making the cost of the filter change nearly nothing. I have noticed that it takes a long time to rinse out this carbon though. Seems to be a lot of dust. It takes me about a minute or more of rinsing to get clean water through it. I have had other filter carbons rinse clean in 10 to 15 seconds. Overall though it works fine with just a little more work up front.

Very high grade carbon. Needs very little rinsing. I was really impressed. I had a problem with hair algae, and this product pulled out a lot of dissolved organics from my reef tank in just a few days.

Aluminum free activated charcoal is the best. Most other companies are not as pure. Very satisfied. Also, Lisa in customer service is a star that represents this company.

Love this because I don’t have to waste as much Carbon as the pet store brands. Cheaper & really really really easy. Purchase a few mush bags for the carbon -and you are setYou use way less carbon then the already picked brand named items at a pet store. Cheaper in the long run and only been using it 3 days and what a difference
