Does it come with straps to attach to the car

Yes it does. Although not part of your question, this item is not made of the best plastic. It didn't hold my mountain bike very well as the straps slipped at times.

Will this fit on my HRV?

The Solo rack will not work on an H-RV but any of the other Saris trunk racks are compatible.

Will it fit a 2016 Benz GL450?

Several people mention that the bottom should rest on the license plate. But it's illegal to drive with an obscured license plate, so how is that?
