Excellent. Very Pleased. What a bargain.
I love this new hood. I had a 10 year old hood over my stove - black no less. We recently did renovations to our home, so we are updating all appliances. We want everything to be stainless, so this hood caught our attention given the low price.Honestly, given the price, we were doubtful about the quality of the hood. Also, I read several reviews regarding units being received with dents, etc. My hood was received in perfect condition. It only took 2 days for the hood to arrive.Installation was very easy. I was able to install it myself, and Im a 58 year old man with very little experience with such things. Now its easier with 2 people but you can do it yourself if you're of a mind.Once installed, the hood looks great. I was very pleased. Its amazing how much it spruces up the kitchen. The stainless steel is just the best way to go. It looks great and its durable. And easy to clean. As far as performance goes, the hood seems to work great. It has two power settings, lo and high. On high, it sucks up alot of air. If you put your hand up close to it, you can feel the suction. Also, this hood will take a 60 watt light bulb, so plenty of lighting capacity.I would say do not hesitate to buy this hood at this price. It looks great (see photos) is easy to install, and it performs great.

Excellent and stylish entry level hood vent for the money!
We purchased our 1980โs ranch style home almost ten years ago and when we bought the house all of the appliances were 1990โs white, including the Broan range hood.Slowly but surely we have finally managed to switch our kitchen appliances over to stainless steel and believe it or not, we waited over two years to finally purchase a replacement range hood in stainless steel to match all of the kitchen appliances.Enter this Broan stainless steel hood vent. Itโs almost an exact replica of the 1990s white one we were replacing (which was utterly filthy with grease, rust, etc. no matter what amount of cleaning you tried). Now I realize this is more of an entry level range hood, but we have a pretty basic kitchen and obviously this hood vent fit the space just fine as the previous white model did.We are very happy with this hood vent, but then again, weโve essentially been using the same model in white for ten years. There are two exhaust speeds, high and low. And an overhead light. The exhaust fan when in operation is most likely much noisier than much more expensive models. But again, itโs what weโre used to.Once we finally have the $ to replace the kitchen cabinets, countertops, backsplash and flooring, we may look at higher end options. But in the meantime, this hood vent does the job, looks nice and is easy to operate.I could definitely see it being a great option for contractors when flipping a home, someone looking to do a minor kitchen remodel on a tight budget, or just someone looking for a reliable hood vent to match their appliances.I would recommend this hood vent to anyone looking for a decent looking, affordable stainless option. You certainly get more bang for your buck with this Broan hood vent! The vent arrived in pristine condition...no dents in the range hood/vent, no rips or tears in the shipping packaging either. Very satisfied with the condition of the vent upon arrival and Amazonโs packing materials.

Decent range hood
Easy to install if you have an existing range hood. Took about 45 minutes to remove old one and install new one. Does a decent job. Very loud on high. That is why I gave 4 stars. Other than that, very happy with it.

Easy to install
This over-range vent is configurable in multiple ways and has a strong fan. Everything you need is included except the power cord which you can scavenge from your old hood and several videos can show you show to safely and easily do it. It should be a two man job but with a little cursing and swearing I had it out of the box and installed by myself in about an hour. So far itโs been easy to keep clean and looks great

Versatile if you don't know whats under the hood
If youโre on a budget and need a range hood fan, this is THE super easy, no frills, no thrills hood fan. It is one of the most versatile oven range hood fan youโll find out there. Itโs not the prettiest, but it has one job and does it fairly well. Itโs quiet and just works. The ONLY thing it doesnโt come with is the power cord. The first unit was damaged to hell during shipping and Amazon quickly sent a replacement. With that said, the sheet metal that itโs made out of is very thin and can be bent in/out of shape fairly easy. The range hood can accommodate round and rectangle vents, or no vents. That was the main reason why I got this, because I didnโt know if my current one even had a vent. Thankfully it did and fits. The instructions are somewhat convoluted with technical jargon that will make you say, โWTF did I get into!?โ Rest assured, itโs super easy and NOT complicated at all, except for power.First detach the silver vent attached to the hood. Depending on your venting, pop out the pre-punched holes for the correct venting style. Mock up your hood to the resting place and drill or (loosely) screw in the screws to hold it in place.Take the hood off, and get a 3-wire pig tail plug (not included) to connect your power to the hood. Luckily I hoard and have a bunch of computer power cords for this reason. Strip the power wires and you should have white, black, and green. Before attaching the plugs, punch out the correct hole on the hood for power cord placement, then stick the cable through the hole to continue. Green get grounded to the green dyed screw underneath the power box, the white goes with white, and black goes with black. I used wire nuts to secure them and then used black electrical tape to further secure them.Place the hood back on, plug it in and make sure it works before securing the screws. At this point I noticed it wasnโt that loud, even on the high setting. I can still have a conversation with it on high. Now for the duct work, remove the power, remove the hood, and attach the new venting duct attachment onto the hood. If you have an existing hood range, simply slide the old venting duct onto the new one. Once on, now secure it with duct tape along the exposed connecting points so that smoke doesnโt seep through. Now you can say you used duct tape as intended.Hopefully this has been helpful. Good luck!

Arrived quickly, well packaged. Fit right into the space with quick installation. I have one of these in my current home, no trouble from it in 11 years.

Works well looks nice
Works well. I ordered the cover for the light. I think that should be included with the hood but price was under $10 for that part.

Was an upgrade from what I had, and I love it!
We (mostly) redid our kitchen last year. The house was built in the 70โs and has never been remodeled, so we still had the wood-looking laminate cabinets, laminate countertops, laminate flooring, black over range microwave, etc. Very dark since the kitchen is in the middle of the house. We painted all the cabinets white, ripped out the monster of a microwave and now needed to fill that space. I liked the thought of not having to duck down to see what Iโm cooking on the back burner, so we started looking into range hoods. Since any home project turns more expensive than you originally thought because of newly discovered issues, we needed a budget friendly hood which allowed for a rectangular duct at the top, but also from a brand I have heard of. After researching many brands/models and comparing prices from different stores, we decided on this baby. She has been wonderful, absolutely wonderful. I may be talking it up more than others would, but coming from someone who had been used to a dark, dirty and absolutely broken/dead microwave to a bright, spacious range hood, itโs a dream come true. I probably installed it in March or April 2017, and have used it every day to cook since (I like the additional light when I cook on the stove). The fan is amazing and sucks the steam right up. I havenโt burned anything yet to where there is actual smoke that needs to be sucked out, but I cook exclusively with cast iron, and whenever I cook steak or fry some chicken, there is some smoke that comes up, but sucks right out. I mostly use the fan for when Iโm making pasta and boiling the noodles (which is at least once a week). Keeps the kitchen cleared up, doesnโt get my cabinets above the stove all wet from condensation.I love this thing, havenโt had any issues and would highly recommend.

Good value, great product
Bought this to replace an old hood fan. Love that it can be used for both systems. With exhaust or without. It was easy to install. Works great! And looks much nicer then the old one.
