Excellent value
With so many cutters to choose from I settled on this one because it appeared to be the same item others were selling for more. When it arrived I noticed two things immediately. One was the weight. It’s not made of plastic like the one from a big box store it is replacing. The other is the size. It’s fairly long which means more leverage. Next step was to attack a piece of 1” sched40. As expected it sliced through like it was butter. A lot of reviewers complain that cutters aren't straight. In my experience that’s an issue of the angle you are starting at. Does it cut straight from the point I start at to the point I point to? Yes.The real test for me was cutting old thin wall ¾” used for lines to individual sprinklers. The problem is it compresses so much my old cutter would make an initial cut but when I opened the handle the ratchet couldn't catch the next tooth. So I was searching for a tool where the teeth were closer together. Bottom line this is MUCH better but still not perfect. After the first cut the ratchet doesn’t always catch the next tooth. It’s close but it still takes two hands to get it started. Close enough. I’m happy.

Good cutters
I would have give a 5 but I don't like the latch that keeps them closed, every time I go to move them they pop open. The price was good and they cut good.

Not bad
I needed a cheap tool to cut some pvc in a very space restricted area. These worked great. The cuts weren't exactly straight. I noticed as i put pressure on the handle the blade shifted a bit. I don't think these will last under heavy use. But for what I needed these were a great value.

Works great
Was not expecting a whole lot because of the price, but turned out to be very useful and durable. Only had a few projects that needed fixing, so though this could handle that much .... and it did without issue. Used them to change out pvc piping for my hot water heater, and numerous re-routing of my in-ground sprinkler/irrigation system.
