Is this mat okay for Bikram yoga?

In Bikram yoga you always place a large towel over your mat. Yoga towel or beach towels are best since you 'll be sweating a lot. So yes, based on that this mat is good for Bikram.

Can you use this mat on carpet?

Absolutely! I like putting a towel under mine to keep dog hair or other debris from sticking to it! It will only slide a little, but not enough to mess with your practice. Enjoy!
