BLOCCS 100% Waterproof Baby Leg Cast Cover - #CL78-XS Baby XS

My 9 yr old daughter broke her arm the first day of summer camp and instantly was devastated that she’d be missing out on swimming/water activities over the summer break. We ordered this and have been very happy-it saved our summer! I was hesitant to believe it was fully submersible since a wet cast requires same day removal but we test ran it for a shower- all good! Then we ventured to a local neighborhood splash park and all was good there too! We put it on and took it off several times and it kept the cast dry the whole visit. Then was the real test, birthday pool party. I was hesitant to let her go fully swimming but figured we’d give it a go. 3 hours in and out of the pool swimming as normal fully submerged and it kept the cast dry! Amazing! We have gone on to use it at the big Six Flags amusement water slide park (slides, lazy river wave pool etc) and at our recent trip to Great Wolf Lodge- it preformed great. Easy on, easy off. She has not once complained of it cutting off circulation. I make sure to take it off when she’s out having a snack or resting to just give her arm a break. The only word of advice is to avoid using the hand to grab the edge of the pool. That surface is usually rough and can compromise the cover with a tiny hole. We had one pinhole early on before we that out and covered it from the inside with medical tape. No biggie (it was literally the size of a needle prick). Overall if you’re on the fence about if it really work, the answer is YES! I will be recommending this product to anyone with a cast. Just buy it!

Daughter broke her arm nearly seven weeks ago and still has to be in a cast for another three- and she's been missing out on fun water activities with the weather getting warm. Also, I've been bagging her arm every single night in a kitchen bag with tons of duct tape- because you only make the mistake of not seeing the hole big enough to get the cast wet and have to have it changed (especially with an open wound under the cast) ONCE! After many weeks, it occurred to me "Amazon has everything- I wonder if there is a such thing as a cast cover?," because no one told me there was. I just got the one with the best rating- WORTH EVERY PENNY even if we can only use it for a short time. It's easy to slip on and off (it wouldn't be if you had to put it on your own arm), push the air out by dunking the arm 3/4 of the way up the water and it seals against the upper arm. She has not been in the pool with it yet, but it has been submerged in the bathtub (just like regular- we didn't baby it) and no leaks. For sizing- my daughter is 5 years old and 38 pounds-her body type is tall and skinny- I didn't measure her arm and was worried the size I ordered would be too big. But- I ordered by age and it fits well. Yes, it IS a little tight at the top (presumably to keep the water out), but it certainly wasn't to tight that my daughter would forgo it in favor of avoiding the water. I honestly can't find anything wrong with it and it has been super useful. Get it!

We tried two other "water proof" cast covers before ordering this one. The others would have been fine for a quick shower, but let in a lot of water when any substantial amount of water touched the seal. My daughter wasn't even able to swim with two kickboards, trying to prop her arm as much out of the water as possible, without her cast getting very wet with the other covers. The Bloccs water proof cover is completely different. My daughter has been able to complete two entire 1.5 hr club swim team practices since we received this a few days ago (sticking mostly to kickboard practice) without her cast getting wet, other than condensation/sweat inside of the cover. It's tight, so got a little uncomfortable at first and she took a break mid way to air her arm/cast out, but she didn't have to worry about keeping her arm fully out of the water because it stayed dry even when completely submerged. She's even gone to the bottom of our home pool to retrieve items dropped in and not had any leakage. This is a great cover. Flexible, actually waterproof for swimming, and reusable. It feels similar to the material used in swim caps. I am ordering a second one just in case we rip this one in the month between now and when she gets her cast off. Great for swimming!! Great for showers and baths. She can actually dive underwater with this without water leaking in. Amazing product! Thanks, Bloccs, for saving us from missing out on six weeks of practice before a big swim meet!!

My 11 month old fractured his ankle 10 days before our vacation to Hawaii. We ordered this and it came quickly. It was easy to put on, stayed secured and kept all sand and water out. This took so much stress away for our big family vacation.

This product is worth the money. I have a VERY active boy that broke his arm right before our summer beach vacation. This cover did an AMAZING job at keeping the water off his cast. We used this cover for 8 days straight, in the ocean, bay, and pool. It went on and off his arm about 4-6 times per day. He body surfed the waves in the ocean, went kayaking, paddle boarding, tubing, jumped off the side of the pool, etc. and there was no ripping this cover. By the end of the week, it started to wear a bit around the top from putting it on and off so much. We put a smaller, thinner cover under this one just in case. By the end of the week, there were a few drops of water between the two covers, but overall his arm stayed dry. We were able to have a great vacation where everyone could participate in water sports because of this cover!!! I would HIGHLY recommend this product.

This saved my son’s campout. Of course he broke his finger and got a cast the week before the big water sports campout with scouts. I had no expectations of him swimming with this, I just wanted him to still be able to boat at least. My husband was going along to supervise so I wasn’t too worried. And then he sent pictures of my son swimming in this. But it far surpassed expectations. It survived 3 days of rough and tumble boys water sports plus another 2 weeks of sprinkler, water slide, etc at home. Actually, it still looks good enough I saved it in case of another cast. We measured and went by the chart, this is very important because you want a good fit. My son is thin so we had to go 2 sizes smaller than his age. This fit fine, snug but not uncomfortable (trust me, if you knew my son you’d know he’s let me know if it was). Since the snug part is quite wide it not only didn’t hurt but was wide enough to not roll up. Yes, it’s a learning process to get it on. We started with a cheap cast cover from the drugstore that we had originally bought for showers but was insanely thin. This kept the sharpness of the cast covered which also made it easier to slide if we needed to. We then kind of folded it inside out in half. We put his hand in as far as we could and then unrolled/unfolded it onto his arm while also pulling it as needed. To make sure no water came in through the seal we shoved the rest of the other cast cover inside so it wasn’t messing with the seal. It definitely wasn’t something he could do himself because you need 2 hands to stretch it as you put it on initially. The material reminds me of a really thick balloon so it is stretchy and sturdy. With 8 kids this is my 7th cast I’ve had to deal with (6 of which were also an arm) so we’ve tried more than our fair share of cast covers. This is the only one I recommend.

We got the XS for our toddler. It’s difficult to get on and the top of the cast is typically wet after use and we need to blow dry it. It is better than nothing but I was more hopeful it would be a better solution.

I don't typically write reviews but I had to for this one. My 18 month old broke her wrist 4 days before our annual family reunion beach trip. I cried when the doctor told me - "I'm going to be honest with you, she just shouldn't go to the beach." But resolved that I would have to accept it and make do. I was so worried about water and sand, especially with her not being able to articulate a whole lot about what might be bothering her. I ended up buying this in an XS (measured her arm right above the cast) and decided we would use it if it fit well. We tried it and it did! She doesn't like putting it on, but it doesn't seem to bother her or make a terrible mark when we take it off. We left it on for up to 2 hours and it kept both water and sand out at the beach and pool. It's been great for Bath time also. If you're nervous about it, I advise you to just try it in small increments of time near water - so maybe in the shower where they're not immersed in water but are getting it wet- and see how it does and feels. Thats initially all we did but got more comfortable as the week went on. I hope this gives hope to partners, especially those with toddlers, that you can still enjoy being in the water with a cast. We initially were hoping for a waterproof cast but she doctor said she's too small and it could slip off, but this honestly is all we needed!

Excellent product, saved a holiday for a youngster with a broken arm/plaster cast. Worked perfectly and remained fully watertight for a whole week.

Great product for a difficult time. It is quite snug but it’s suppose to be so it does the job effectively.

cette protection à sauvée nos vacances. Mon petit loulou de 2ans a eu un plâtre dès le premier jour. Nous avons eu un peu d'appréhension lors de la baignade,mais après avoir bien posé jusqu'en haut du bras, après avoir aspiré l'air avec une paille...on a croisé les doigts et ça a fonctionné du tonnerre ! Nous nous en sommes servi 5 fois et il est toujours dans le même état...comme neuf ! Les protections de la pharmacie sont vraiment rien par rapport à celle ci.
