I was going for length and didn’t notice that this bar is intended for just 90 degree attachment to the wall. Is there any way to install at an angle?

Is the length locked in via screws after adjusting to size?

I remember that to be the case. There are two small set screws that lock the smaller tube into the larger diameter tube at the correct length. We have had no trouble with this item and the installer was able to use it with no trouble.

Can this be attached to bathtub with modular wall instead of ceramic tiles as shown in the photos?

Yes as long as there are studs to support it.
