Fixed my Patagonia "Capilene Cool" t-shirts after conditioner killed them
I have a bunch of Patagonia brand synthetic t-shirts that have some high-tech chemistry solution to the odour problem you normally get with synthetic fibres. Unfortunately, the laundry fairy didn't know this and was putting them in with all the other washing. The care label on these garments specifically tells you not to use fabric conditioner - and there's a good reason. Apparently, the oily residue that makes conditioner do its job coats all the fibres in your active clothing and prevents the "technical" garment (a silver compound?) from rejecting the odours. It does the opposite in fact - all my t-shirts and gym gear was starting to smell of bonemeal fish food - Yuk! It has taken about 6 washes with the Grangers detergent, on a no-conditioner cycle - but the no-stink functionality has been restored. And the clothes smell nice, to boot.

The best
The only one that I know works for sportswear and other smelly items that really works.

Get it.
Smells like the la croix of detergent. You barely smell it. BUT. Your nastiest cothes come out not smelling like nasty. Also it's great for hand washing if you find yourself doing that. Also great for cold cycles. Let's be real, no body under age 40 really sorts laundry, it all just goes in together on cold. I wear a lot of tech gear, Patagonia strider pros, polartec delta shirts, and a Volbak condition black shirt, darn tough socks, were the majority of my wardrobe this summer. All things you want to wash as cold as possible. It's great and inexpensive, for your minimalist, technical wardrobe.
