I seldom write a review, but I have to say It holds heat really very well! After 5 hours, it is still a bit too hot! I bought one for myself one month ago, and now another 2 for my kids as the school begins.

I bought this for my daughter and unfortunately it suctions so much that the lid won’t open!

Keeps food warm until lunch. Not hot, but edible. I pack it about six hours before lunch. Doesn’t leak. Only downside is it’s not dishwasher safe.

I love this thermos for the wide mouth and for holding hot food. I bought this for my kids (8 and 6 yo) to bring lunch to school. The kids one have are narrow, so it is hard to reach the food. I usually prepare their lunch at around 7am and they eat at around 11:30am - noon. They say that the food is still warm by lunch time. I have tested at home and even though the food is not hot, it is still warm. To be, one of the best features about this thermos is the button on top of the lid that you can press to release the pressure so its easier to open. My kids used to use one of those Omie lunch boxes, but they were never able to open the thermos and quite honestly it was hard even for me to open at night to clean it up. My 8 yo has been using it for a little over 2 years and it is still in very good condition.

Trust me when I say this is the one you want to buy! In my search to find a lunch container that actually keeps food hot, I've searched high and low and have wasted countless dollars. This one is by far the one that has kept the food the absolute hottest. I packed my husband a mashed potato bowl (Mashed potatoes, cheese, corn, chicken and gravy) at 5:30am and by the time he ate it at 3:30pm it was still STEAMING hot. What he didn't finish during lunch was still hot to the touch when I cleaned it out at 6pm. I'm honestly very impressed. The key is to pour boiling water into the container for 15 mins to 'preheat' it before dumping out and then adding your food. The size is suitable for my husband's large appetite, but the container is still compact enough that I'm able to pack it for my daughter in her school lunch bag as well. She is 10 and did not have any issues getting it open. I immediately ordered 2 more to have on hand for my family's needs. I highly recommend!
