Great swim bag! I worried this would be junk because of the price, but it was perfect for my little swimmer. I always used a fully enclosed (non-mesh) bag growing up, so I was a little resistant to my son when he said he wanted this bag. But honestly, this bag is so great. There’s so much more air flow with the mesh, his stuff doesn’t stay wet and get stinky. Nearly every kid on his team uses this bag and the fun colors are perfect for keeping everyone’s bags straight. The bag straps are adjustable so an adult or a child could use it. There’s a place to write your name on it. The front goggles pocket is perfect. The bag is just the right size. My son can easily fit a pair of fins, a snorkel, paddles, goggles, a swim cap, a towel, and a water bottle with room to spare. For reference, my son is a tall 8 year old and this is how the bag fits on him. The only downside to this bag is that it’s not great for putting clothes that are meant to stay dry in. If you lay it down on the pool deck the clothes inside the bag get wet because of the mesh. Also, any underwear in the bag will be seen through the mesh—a horrifying concept for a school age child. This hasn’t been an issue for us whatsoever, but it totally could be for others depending on how they use the bag.

Update: I've now had this bag for nearly 3 years (I'm updating this on 1/14/20). The seam between where the backpack straps attach and the drawstrings exist has begun to separate (the separation is about 1.5 inches). This is a very easy to mend seam. I'm not sure how long this seam has coming apart, but it's only recently become noticeable. I came to this page considering buying a new bag, but the more I thought about it I realized this is an easy fix and there's no need to create waste by throwing away a mostly good bag that can be fixed. I still recommend this bag - the compartments are better than what competitors offer, the price is very affordable, and if I'm lazy and don't hang up my towel/suit the ventilation allows for everything to get mostly dry. I have no idea why this has negative reviews... I've owned this bag a little over a year (purchased Feb. 2017), and it has more than met expectations. I work as a lifeguard/swim instructor and this has been the best swim bag I've ever used. I can fit my shampoo and conditioner it the outside drawstring pouch, and I usually stash my wallet, keys, and phone in the front zip. This bag very easily fits a full sized towel, the three or so bathing suits I usually carry, my two goggles, and a swim cap with room to spare. This definitely a big bag (if I really wanted I'm pretty sure I could fit another towel), but it's not bulky due to the mesh design. I haven't had any tears or discoloration and the zippers and drawstrings are showing no signs of wear. GET THIS. It's the best you can find for the price, and I'd be hard pressed to show you a better option.

These worked perfectly for our guys (6-10) keeping track of their gear for daily practice and two meets a week this summer. They’re big/roomy enough for older swimmers but light enough for elementary-aged kids. We’ve only used them for one season, but I’m happy with the quality, they seem quite durable. The mesh did a great job helping things dry out quickly and we didn’t have any problems with mold or mildew all summer despite a sticky climate. We took out wet towels as often as I reminded them and hung the bags in our front closet but their caps and goggles, etc. we’re in there all the time, and often damp towels and t-shirts too. Heads up for younger swimmers. My 8-yr-old didn’t realize he needed to squeeze the toggle to open/close the drawstring top. After a couple weeks I noticed his drawstring was really torn up and asked him about it. As soon as I showed him how it worked he was perfectly capable and it works just fine still, but the damage to the drawstring is enough that it will probably shorten the bag’s functional life. If you’re giving to a younger child, I’d just make sure they see the toggle and know how it works.

Great inexpensive bag for all my swim gear and then some. I'm able to fit a kickboard, pull buoy, hand paddles, snorkel, two towels, sandals, and a change of clothes in the main compartment without issue. The mesh material seems to be holding up well with no signs of wear after using it for over a month. My only complaint are the straps could be more comfortable and be longer/more adjustable.
