Worked well to fix my Hunter ceiling fan that wasn't spinning fast enough anymore. Easy enough to install, although the body was a little larger than the previous one.

used it on a shop fan and it worked great. happy with it

These seem to be good quality and the specs are spot on. I used one of these to slightly increase the speed of an outdoor ceiling fan by replacing the oem 4uf run cap with one of these 4.5uf caps. I got about a 15% increase in speed without overheating the windings.

I had bought a fan for dirt cheap and when I turned it on after installing it, the light would turn on but the fan wouldn't move at all. I would hear it humming but no movement. So I researched and discovered that capacitors go bad. I had no idea what it was or what, so I looked for it on the fan and it had 2 wires sticking out of it, one white on the left and a red on the right. Ordered this and when installing it I kept the orientation the same. I put this new ones red with the left white and the black with the right red. I went to turn the fan on before putting it back together and it worked perfectly in all the speed settings. Super awesome that it's also a 2 pack in case the capacitor goes out again.*also, these have a little tab that sticks out. It wouldn't fit without breaking it off with pliers. It broke off easy and it's not needed unless you have that mounting hole on the fan for it. Then used the original bad capacitor sticky backing on the new one to hold it in place as I put it back together

They look cheap , but work great so far. better then buying a new fan.
