The New American Standard Ultrathin Text Bible is designed for portability and everyday reading, featuring a slim profile that is easy to carry without sacrificing readability. Ideal for personal use, gifting, and daily study, this edition provides a clean and comfortable reading experience in a compact format. Its Smyth-sewn binding ensures durability for frequent use at home or on the go. Features: NASB 2020 text Clear, easy-to-read type Line-matched typesetting Brown flush-cut Leathertex cover Two-column Bible text Translation footnotes Paragraph-style formatting Black letter text In the Back: Book introductions Read through the Bible in a year plan Miracles of Jesus Parables of Jesus Font Point Size: 8 Trim Size: 5.5 x 8.5 x 0.75", 864 pages Originally produced in 1971 and updated in 1995, the New American Standard Bible has been widely embraced and trusted as a literal English translation. Now, the NASB 2020 improves accuracy where possible, modernizes language, and improves readability. These refinements maintain faithful accuracy to the original texts and provide a clear understanding of Godโs Word to those who prefer more modern English standards. The long-established translation standard for the NASB remains the same as it always has been, that is to accurately translate the Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek texts of the Bible into modern English that is clearly understandable today. Review: A great wide margin reference bible! - There are a number of reviews here for other NASB bibles, making reviews confusing to weed through. This review is for the NASB Wide Margin Reference Bible, Blue, Leathertex, 2020 text. I really like the extra wide margins and single column text! Any references are at the bottom of the page. Font size in online descriptions is about as useful as size tags in ladies jeans - often doesn't mean a darn thing, lol. The font in this bible is very easy to read, even for my aging eyes. Not too big and not too small. The paper is bright white and a decent weight (32 gsm), not nearly so flimsy as in some bibles. Shadowing from previous pages is not bad at all (better in real life than my photos), and part of that is from the line-set typesetting. Margins are 1.25 inch: wide enough to be able to make notations, but not so wide that I would feel like my (usually small) notations will overtake the material. (Side note, some journaling bibles I had looked at with lined margins struck me as being nearly as big as the scripture section on the page. Not what I wanted.) There are 2 heavy duty ribbons, each a different color. NASB 2020 is easy enough to read comfortably, and definitely good for in depth study. And is *much* easier to read than my older 1977 version. I do also read other translations as well, as I always glean some new gem when I do. Overall, these features make for a winning combination, creating a simple and non-distracting reading experience. I can focus on what is written much more easily. When pages (printed or web) are too busy, my eyes (and attention) are drawn all over the place. This bible maximizes the reader's ability to focus on scripture - period. There is a concordance/index in the back if a bit more research is desired. And some maps too, though those are not important to me. It is a bit weighty: just under 3 lbs on my kitchen scale. It's not so hefty as a study bible I have, but definitely more than a personal size bible. The features mentioned above are definitely worth the added weight to me, and it's not too much for me to carry to church. But it could be an issue for some, so it seemed worth mentioning Shipped in a box with padding, and arrived in new condition. All the pages are there, and there are no mis-cut pages. All new bibles serm to come with pages stuck together. Nitrile gloves made it much easier to go through page by page and get this bible primed for daily use. I'm very pleased, and highly recommend. Looking forward to many years of use!! Review: Great Bible with a Comfortable Feel and Useful Features - I recently purchased the NASB Large Print Ultrathin Reference Bible (Blue, Leathertex, 2020 text), and overall, Iโm very pleased with it. The cover is a beautiful blue color, soft to the touch, and feels great in the hand, which makes it a pleasure to carry around. The text size is a nice balanceโnot too small, but I still need glasses for longer reading sessions. The layout is well thought out. I appreciate how the footnotes are separated from the cross-references and placed at the bottom of each page, making it easy to read the main text without distraction. The center column cross-references are good, though they can get a bit difficult to read at times. Having two colors throughout the Bible, especially for things like verse numbers and headings, might have made them easier to distinguish and follow. I understand why they kept it one color, though. The pages are good, and I really enjoy the book introductions, though I would have preferred them at the beginning of each book instead of at the end of the Bible. That said, it doesnโt take away from the overall usability. This Bible strikes a good balance between size and portability, making it convenient for both study and everyday use. While it may not have all the extra features or luxury details of some higher-end Bibles, itโs still a solid choice for anyone looking for a reliable, practical Bible that gets the job done well without being overly bulky or expensive.

Great Bible
This is my new Bible. It is the Blue Edition. It has two ribbons one is the blue and other is black. This is large print and is perfect for my reading at 72 years of age. For those looking for all the bells and whistles this is very close. It does not have the thumb index tabs or the red letter for Christs Words. I really don't need those things since I learned the Bible Books a long time ago and it is simple to know when Jesus is talking. I was looking for the important stuff like all the references and the maps to bring alive the message. It is very helpful to have those things to understand the travels of Jesus and the Apostles in their times. The modern language is much better then my trying to read the King James Bible. We simply don't live with that English and we never have in our lifetimes. It is old and archaic to us and does not make the Bible any more Holy to have it. This is accurate for our language. I have compared it where it is different than some other versions and it does NOT change the meaning of the scriptures or ADD to the scriptures. It simply puts it in our more modern language. To say that the King James is more accurate because it was the first English Bible is to ignore all the wealth of new translations in all other languages to witness to all the nations. In these last days God is reaching to the entire world for a witness to all the nations before he comes again. Remember that all scriptures are inspired by God. We can be assured that the message of Christ as the Messiah is the message consistent in all the Bible. He is the hope for all to be saved. That truth is ever present in all Bibles. This Bible is not real leather but very nice leather feel and flexible. It has beautiful silver binding pages instead of gold which is beautiful with the blue. Pages are nice and no bleed through. They also do not stick right out of the wrapping. Very easy to just start reading. Very good price.

Exactly what I was looking for
This was exactly what I was looking for. I was looking for a black covered, NASB Bible of good quality, and that's exactly what this is. The print is the perfect size for someone who doesn't need giant print, but wants larger than some of the tiny print you see in some Bibles. It is very easy to read. The cover seems like good quality bonded leather, and the binding seems to be well done. The pages aren't too thin or too thick. When you open the Bible and lay it flat, it stays open to the page you are on without trying to close, yet it also feels sturdy and not like the binding is going to fall apart. Very good quality. The only thing I would point out is that I wouldn't call it "Ultrathin." It is definitely thinner than a lot of Bibles I've seen, but if you're looking for a truly "Ultrathin" Bible, this is not what you're after. It is 1.5" thick, which isn't bad at all, just not really what I would call ultrathin. Personally, I wasn't looking for an ultrathin Bible, so this one is absolutely perfect for me. Another thing, if you're looking for a study Bible with all kinds of commentaries, that's not what this is. This is just a good, old fashioned reading Bible of great quality. Though, it does have the normal NASB cross references and notes in the middle column, a small concordance in the back, a few maps, and several blank pages in the back that could be used for notes. And if writing on the pages is your thing, there is around 3/4" on the edges that gives you enough space to jot a note down. It's an excellent Bible for what it is.

Great translation
This is a nice Bible and currently my favorite translation. This one looks nice and the binding feels well done. I like all the notes it provides at the bottom of each page. My only wishes: I wish it had introductions to each chapter and red lettering for direct quotes of Jesus. Itโs not intended to be a study bible, but I really like this for uninterrupted time with His word.

Beautiful Bible with all the needed features
This Bible had almost everything I wanted - wide margin, larger print (10 pt), single column, and wide margins for notes. The only thing that I didn't get was the NASB 1995 version, which I prefer to the 2020 version. The cover is a very beautiful brown color that isn't just one color; it looks like natural leather and feels like it, too. The only complaint, other than the NASB version is that the ribbon bookmarks are quite long, as you can see in the product images. I'm not sure why they are that long, but they should be fine.

A Great Little Grab and Go Bible!
This NASB translation is just what I was looking for (my favorite) for my journalist bag. Since it's not an expensive Bible, if it gets damaged with being out and about, it's not expensive to replace. The print font is small but dark and easy to read. And I'm glad it is not a "red letter" edition, as I find that red lettering usually fades and is hard to read for certain eye conditions. Headings are nice in it too. For the money, it was just what I was looking for.

Good Quality but not Large Print
2/3rds the thickness of my current NASB but suspect that most of that is down to the extra's in my old bible. The term "Large Text" is in my opinion misleading. I am fifty and found the text in my bible hard to read so decided I would do well with large print. I would estimate the text to be about 20% larger than my old bible, but I would not call it large, perhaps "Bigger".

NASB Large Print Ultrathin Reference Bible, Blue, Leathertex, 2020 text
This is a nice size Bible to carry with you with Font Size: 11 Trim Size: 6.5 x 9.25 x 1", 1472 Pages. The Blue Leathertex cover goes nicely with the gilded silver edges and it comes with two ribbon markers. One black and one blue. For me the 11 point font is quite readable, although 12 would be preferred. As noted by another reviewer the line spacing is quite tight but again it is readable. I do like that the verse numbers are bolded which makes it easier to find a specific verse in the middle of a paragraph. Nice black type on a nice quality paper helps with the readability and any bleed through does not detract from the readability. The photos make it look worse than it actually is. More details from the Lockman website Features: NASB 2020 text, Clear reading type, Line matched typesetting, Two column text, Full set of 95,000+ center-column cross references, Full set of 14,000 translation footnotes, Paragraph formatting, Black letter text, 2 satin ribbons. In the front: Presentation page, Family records pages In the back: Topical index, Book introductions, Parables and Miracles of Jesus, Important events, Color maps. The Bible comes packaged in a flimsy sleeve which makes it susceptible to damage in transit. My Bible was slightly damaged on one of the corners. You can see the damage on the sleeve and on the Leathertex cover. Not enough to send it back but I would gladly pay a few extra dollars to have it come packaged in a box.

A Decent Bible, But Needs To Be Better Quality
Decent Bible, but the pages are too thin. You can see two or three pages past where you're reading, and depending on the lighting it can give you a headache.
