Sulfate Free Argan Oil Shampoo & Conditioner (16oz Set)

A little bit of background on my hair. I grew up with normal wavy black hair but since the last 8 years, I have been continuously straightening my hair either with the Japanese straightening or Keratin straightening. I have never straightened my hair with the Brazilian blowout which is usually the common straightening method. Since one year, in addition to straightening, I also began coloring my hair. I went from black to strawberry blonde and now, couple of days back I became a redhead. I am one of the lucky ones so far where despite straining my hair with straightening for years and recently coloring, I have no major issues with my hair or scalp. However over the years, my hair did start falling a little bit and my scalp started itching minimally. Until now I had been using known brands as shampoos and conditioners. To give my hair a well-deserved break, I decided to try this brand because it is organic and it specifically states that it is good for straightened and colored hair. Nobody recommended this brand to me. I simply found it on Amazon when I typed "organic shampoo." Both the shampoo and conditioner came well-packaged and both smell heavenly - sort of like orange sorbet. In the first attached picture, I used this shampoo and conditioner on hair that had been straightened 3 days back and colored blonde 3 months back. I noticed with just one wash that my hair loss had stopped and my scalp did not feel itchy. In fact my scalp felt really good. My straightened hair remained straightened and there was no change to the blonde color. In my second picture, I colored my hair red for the first time and used this shampoo and conditioner 2 days later. This time there was loss of red color while showering but I was told by my hairstylist that red color does drain off regardless of the shampoo and conditioner used. So I'm confident this brand's shampoo and conditioner had nothing to do with loss of red color. Despite some hair color loss, red color still sticked well as evidenced in my second picture. For now, I will say that this product really works on straightened and blonde colored hair. It also stops hair fall and scalp itching. I will give another update perhaps few weeks later on how it maintains my red hair. Oh one more thing, these products are MADE IN THE USA. That always makes me happy. Needless to say, this shampoo and conditioner will now replace every other shampoo and conditioner in my bathroom. I will also recommend this brand to my hairstylist who is wanting to start an organic line. Excellent job, LuxeOrganix!

UPDATE: Also recently used the NEW LuxeOrganix CoWash. I have to say, from a previous WEN user, this is a WINNER!!! You don't use as much as what WEN recommends, it smells wonderful and not pungent, the texture it great and it costs much less. It made my hair feel a look wonderful!!!! This is to be used to alternate with the LuxeOrganix Shampoo and Conditioner every few washings and I believe with all three I am now set! Hope I'm correct on the intervals with this. Update on original review below: Since August, my first purchase of S & C, I had been experimenting with this brand shampoo and conditioner and trying other natural and organic products, less expensive lets say, to see if the differences were big enough to stick with it. EVERYTIME I used LuxeOrganix I had a great hair day! Every single time! When I did not, well not so good. With my wavy, thick, color treated, shoulder length hair it's not easy to find natural products that will tackle it successfully. Definitely a difference that you can see. Try the COWASH especially if you are a WEN user in addition to the shampoo and conditioner. So glad I stumbled upon this brand. Prior review:I do like how it makes my thick, color treated hair feel. Easy to manage for sure. I will have to use it a bit longer to really know if my hair likes it. I've tried so many different natural shampoos, cleansing conditioners, etc.out there on the market. LuxeOrganix is definitely high up on the list of WELL DONE ones so far! Great customer service, I might add, when I had questions about the product. She knows her stuff! Look forward to other products they come out with.

I've been doing keratin treatments on my hair for years, so I've tried a lot of "keratin friendly" shampoos and conditioners. Some good, some not what they promised. I can honestly say I'm impressed with this set. It leaves my hair feeling squeaky clean, without stripping it. My hair ends up shiny, soft and light weight after I dry it. The scent is mild & pleasant.. smells like orange cream. The reason I gave it only 4 stars is because at that price point ($36).. I think you should be getting more than 8 oz bottles. ESPECIALLY since you have to use twice as much shampoo with this brand, due to the lack of sulfates etc. So yeah, it does what it promises, but either lower the price or make the bottles bigger. I'll be out of the shampoo in no time.

I bought this product for the first time about a year ago because I decided to get a Keratin Treatment. The price was a little high but I decided to take the chance. One of the best decisions I’ve ever made for my hair. It’s a natural dirty blonde color that is extremely thick and frizzy, and because of this, my hair is constantly blow dried and straightened. My hair had been color treated for about 12 years straight. It was medium-long length but I constantly had to cut it because of all the breakage from the bleaching. And then my hair started falling out. Not in clumps or anything like that, but it was enough to cause alarm. It was like that for about 2-3 years. By the 2nd year, I decided to stop coloring my hair to let it grow out so I could have a fresh new start. The ends were still super dry and unmanageable but I dealt with it for 2 years. Then I decided to get a keratin treatment. I purchased this shampoo and conditioner combo, and behold, no more problems with my hair. My hair slowly stopped falling out and eventually stopped all together. My hair became so much softer and more manageable. At first, my hair did seem a bit greasy but that went away in about a month, maybe less. Even after the keratin washed out of my hair completely, I continued to use this and overall my hair is 100 times better than it was before. Also, another huge plus is you only need very little of this product when washing your hair. So I guess the price is fair. I go through it way slower than I did with my old high-end shampoos and conditioners. Definitely solved all of my hair care needs and issues. I have repurchased this 4 times now and I’m about to purchase it again. Love this duo and would 100% recommend.

I was so convinced I would love this shampoo and it would be "life changing" that when it was delivered, I washed my hair that night (on a non-hair washing day, which is a rarity and proved my initial excitement). I wasn't thrilled to read reviews of the "orange dreamsicle" scent, and truly didn't end up losing it. Sure, it smells nice, but not want I want my hair to smell like. To me, fruity scents in hair care should be reserved for kiddos. It made me feel like I swapped a bottle of something sparkly neon orange from Bath and Body Works. Aside from the scent, (which I was aware of going into this) the bottles are TINY. I don't typically budget much for hair products, it's just not as much of a priority to me as other things. But 8 oz is not much for the cost (to me - cost is subjective of course). I have long, thick hair that soaks up product, so these bottles will not last long. Another bummer is that I started getting dandruff when I transitioned to this shampoo. Yikes. I can't blame the manufacturer, because it could just be my individual reaction to one of the ingredients. But something for others to be on the lookout for. My hair does feel bouncy and moisturized after a wash, it definitely encouraged my natural curl. I don't mind that it doesn't lather very much because I knows that just points to the integrity of the ingredients. I won't be repurchasing for the reasons listed above, on to the search for a clean shampoo and conditioner once again!

It has taken me a while of using this to really figure out how I feel about it. After about 4 months of constant use, I am in love with it. When I first tried it, I did like it, but I wasn't sure how much I loved it. There are a few things to consider with this product: First of all, it does not lather up and get sudsy. Some people love lather, but it is important to realize that lather often indicates synthetic and sometimes toxic ingredients. More natural products won't lather up nearly as much, but it is important to remember that they still can clean well if made well. This is one of those products that is made very well, so, therefore, it cleans your hair beautifully. The ingredients are something else to consider. If you look at the Environmental Working Group, you will see almost all of your products listed and what, if any cancer causing or toxic ingredients are in them. It is quite eye opening to find out that your Oil of Olay or Revlon products that you've loved forever actually contain many harmful ingredients. It is because of this, that I have made a distinguished effort to change my beauty and household routines to include more natural and less harmful products. I've switched to Body Merry and Instanatural moisturizers, and Honest Beauty Makeup and Honest Co. cleaning supplies because their ingredients are nontoxic, but they also work like a dream. It can sometimes be hard to find natural products that are effective. LuxeOrganix has highly effective products with extremely safe ingredients. "Fragrance" listed in your beauty and household products is actually one of the most toxic ingredients that are also very common. LuxeOrganix shampoo and conditioner are effective without the synthetic "fragrance," but they still smell delicious! Over these past 4 months they have made my hair soft, strong, and manageable, and I feel completely safe using them. Highly recommended.

I had such high hopes for this product. I’ve been getting keratin treatments from my hair dresser for years and she has always used the same product on me. I’ve used other “keratin safe” shampoos and they have never stripped the keratin out of my hair. I decided to try something new and boy was that a mistake. I had just gotten my keratin treatment and was excited to try this shampoo/conditioner for the first wash. Sadly, I IMMEDIATELY regretted it. I washed with the shampoo and even though the instructions said there wouldn’t be a lather/suds there definitely was some. I rinsed it out and could tell something was off. My hair was brittle feeling and NOT soft! I put the conditioner and it helped but after I got out and looked in the mirror I knew it was a big mistake using this product. Normally, I get out of the shower and my hair is still smooth and straight from other shampoo/conditioner combos but not this one! My hair was already showing frizz and wave. It has stripped some of the keratin treatment out of my hair with one wash! I won’t attempt to try this shampoo one more time because it will just strip the keratin even more. My head was also itchy after use which may not happen to everyone but I thought I’d share my personal experience. I’m so disappointed this is recommended for keratin treated hair. Maybe it works for some people without a keratin treatment for some other reasons but unfortunately, I HIGHLY encourage ANYONE with a keratin treatment to look elsewhere. Since covid hit I really dont leave the house to go shopping that often. I have reached out to online shopping as my main source to get the items I need. I had heard really good things about this shampoo and conditioner from a friend and thought I should give it a try. The older I get the crazier my hair is. I realized many years ago that not all shampoo, conditioner, or any styling product really is not created equal. Before actually purchasing I read a few comments from others and they were all really good reviews so I decided to give it a shot. Let me tell you first off that it smells amazing, like an orange creamsicle. The shampoo and conditioner both have a good consistency. And the shampoo lathers nicely. I feel it works well with my hair type as I definitely noticed alot less of those little fly away hairs that are annoying. I am happy with this product and will be purchasing more when I am out. They come in 2 sizes I ordered the smaller size to make sure it would be a good fit for me. I also liked that it came packaged very well. There was plastic shrink wrapped around the entire bottle and there were absolutely no leaks.
