I have been using Pepcid AC for my cat for over a year. I give him 1/4 tablet twice a day and combined with some other meds and supplements he has been nearly symptom free for about a year. He is also on a low dose of prednisone to keep the inflammation down but we have tried to reduce the Pepcid dosage a few times and systems of vomiting always come back so I know it is working. Description Pepcid AC Regular Strength are small squarish pills that have a pink coating on them. They contain 10 mg of Famotidine each. This is the lowest dosage for Pepcid in a generic or non-generic formula. I have tried to find a lower dose pill for my cat to avoid cutting pills but this one is the lowest out there. I prefer the name brand Pepcid rather than generic Famotidine because the generic tablets seem to crumble more when they are cut. The 90 tablet size comes in a small bottle(no child proof cap) which I find easier to deal with than the little blister packs. I prepare my cats medicine four weeks at a time so if I had to remove all those pills from the foil packs it would take a lot longer. The other thing that is great about the 90 pill bottle is that it saves lots of money! The 90 pill bottle is only about $15, and a pack of 30 in blister packs cost about $10. The smaller packaging is probably fine if you only use this occasionally but if you are using it regularly then the larger package saves money. How well it works Pepcid AC is designed to reduce acid in the stomach. While we have recently used it for our cat, I have also given it to my daughter when she used to get stomach upsets(she is grown now and still uses it herself). I like using Famotidine as opposed to stronger drugs because it seems safe and has never caused any side effects for the pets or humans in my family. For my cat, obviously he can not tell me how he is feeling. I know when he has a good appetite and is not throwing up that he is feeling well. He has been doing extremely well since we started Pepcid AC and throws up more when I try to reduce the dose. While the dosage for Cats is 2.5mg up to twice a day, for humans the dose is between 10-20 mgs twice a day. Pepcid makes a stronger pill that has 20 mg but my daughter was always helped by just one 10mg tablet. It is nice because it is a medicine that not only prevents heartburn but also treats it. Vet recommended for my puppy and her upset stomach

Been buying this for years. It’s extremely hard to find Pepcid in stores under 20mg. My dog takes this for her stomach so being able to get the 10mg on here has been great!

Got this for my wife heartburn needs and overall satisfied with it. Considering the benefits, I would recommend this supplement. My 2 cents below: Pros: - These work well for the heartburn needs - Easy to use as these taste well and dissolves easily in mouth - When I compare to local supermarkets, these are very well priced Cons: - None that I see for now but wish it had mixed variety flavors to choose

I could not find a photo of what is inside the box! Bottle, blister pack, other and what size. I searched everywhere before ordering and read through a bunch of these comments. Well it arrived today, see photo. Is a bottle, which is what I was hoping for, 2.5 inches tall & 1.5 inches in diameter. The expiration date is great, "2028/JUL".
