Will the molding clay expire if purchased before Christmas?

As long as the container is closed when the clay is not in use, it will remain moldable.

How do you get it out of carpet

Has never happened to me but I would try Goo Gone. It works great on those type of things. You could also try ice to harden it up.

What are the ingredients of the putty? I want to buy it for my nephew but he has numerous food allergies.

No idea. It was very long ago. You wouldn't eat it.....
