Best Purchase for My Husband!I bought these for my husband, and they turned out to be one of the best gifts I've given him. He wears them every day for work, yard work, and even just relaxing while listening to music. He has hearing loss, and these have made it much easier for him to hear conversations during work phone calls while still being aware of what's going on around him.They were easy to connect to his phone.He says they're lightweight, comfortable enough to wear for hours, and they fit well and he has a large head. I also bought the same set for my son he doesn't have a large head. lol They both love them and wear them every day. They stay securely in place no matter what he's doing. He also loves the sound quality for music and podcasts, and the battery lasts all day without needing to recharge.If you're looking for comfortable, reliable headphones that are great for work, taking calls, or listening to music while staying aware of your surroundings, I highly recommend these. My husband absolutely loves them, and I would definitely buy them again. Easy to charge and the charge last all day. A great value for the money spent!

I've been a fan of this brand for a while. It was honestly a godsend for me, as I can't wear inner earbuds. My ear canals are too small for even the smallest ones I've found. I don't like carrying around big over the ear headphones and the outer earbuds are kind of becoming a thing of the past, particularly after phones started dropping the audio jack. I got one of the mid-priced ones they had and they lasted me a good long while - they still work, but they finally broke in a way that I can't really repair without impacting the device's ability to rest on my temporal bones. For reference, I got these before the company rebranded themselves from Aftershokz to simply Shokz, which I think happened about 5 years ago. These likely would have lasted longer, except that I'm admittedly a bit rough on my electronics.These are a marked change from the earlier unit, which was smooth silicone and plastic. I chose these for the price point, but also because I thought the metal might make them harder to break. I'll have to wait a bit to weigh in on that one, as the older pair I had took years to finally start breaking down. Others have mentioned that these are a bit awkward on the head compared to the ones in the higher priced tiers. I have to agree on that. While I do think I'm getting a more durable unit, the headset is a bit more awkwardly placed than the other models. At times it sort of battles for space with my eyeglasses, but not in a way that I'd find a deal breaker. It's just a bit of a transition period, although if you are very sensitive to things like that I recommend going for one of the slimmer units.As far as sound goes, these are nice. I can tell that they've worked on the sound quality since their earlier units, as it's a bit crisper and clearer than my other set. I do get the impression that the higher dollar sets might be a bit better, but I think that's more because it might sit on the temporal bone a bit more smoothly than these might on my head. Other than that, I am pretty happy that the headset can be charged with a type C USB cord. This makes it easier to charge these any time, any where. These have a decent amount of charge time so I'm not particularly worried about this running out all of a sudden, but it is good to have. These do hold less of a charge than the mid-tier units, so keep that in mind. If you're someone who often goes long periods without charging things or can spend 10+hours using your headphones, you'll definitely want to go with the next tier up. Still, for my purposes these are fine. Another user mentioned some ear soreness - I haven't experienced that so far. I think part of this is because I'm kind of used to this via my eyeglasses and prior set - but I think that this will vary by person in general.Overall, I'm pretty pleased with these. I will admit that I liked the mid-tier type headset more as far as charge time and comfort goes, but this gets the job done and meets my needs. It also feels slightly more durable, but time will only tell with that. I might eventually replace these with a mid-tier when they wear out, but if they're anything like my old headset it's going to be a while and it'll go out kicking and screaming. Highly recommend.

For a person who wants to be able to listen to music or a phone call or GPS directions and still be able to hear what is going on around them, these are a great option without going too overboard. They also do a great job of blocking out noise that people you are calling would hear.Be realistic about what these headphones are and how they work and what you expect out of them. They do not block out external noise from your ears (duh, they are called open-ear headphones for a reaon)reason. That means at times your music will be drowned out by ambient noise. Also, because they don't have a speaker like most folks are used to, you do not get deep thumping bass out of these. It seems like the bottom end of the frequency range is cut off, probably due to them being bone conduction rather than having true speakers.The good:1. Battery life. I believe the product page states 6 hours of talk/music. I have only used them that much one time: over 7 hours of music continuously and I did not even get a low battery indicator. The battery is also going strong after probably 4 hours of phone calls and music and at least another 30 of being on.2. Open ear design. These fit well over your ears and do not interfere with prescription glasses, sunglasses, or safety glasses.3. Sound quality. Audiophiles don't buy these, but for what they are, the sound is really good.The bad:1. Size. I have the regular size (I know Shokz makes a mini version) and the band that goes around the back of your neck could be just slightly (and I mean about 1/4 inch) larger.2. Control location. The volume controls are tucked behind your ear, meaning you need to reach between your ear and skull to adjust the volume or turn on/off. If the co tools could be moved to the back of the rectangular block they are mounted to would be helpful.3. The amount the volume changes each time you press the volume button. Mine changes 10% with each press. 5% change would be better.4. You can't adjust the volume unless there is sound coming through the headphones. That is, if you are using the headphones to listen to the GPS on your phone, you can't change the volume between directions: very annoying.In all these are really good headphones, just don't expect them to do something or be something they are not.

This means that there is nothing going into, or over the ears muffling the ambient noises from around like traditional headphones that must be pulled out or off to the side from them to listen. For outdoor users this means a great deal to their safety being able to hear other people coming up to them whether it be runners, bicyclists, or more importantly motor vehicles. The sound quality from the Shokz is amazingly clear and it comes preprogrammed with different EQ settings like standard mode, or vocal booster mode that are easy to toggle through with a touch of a button. These Shokz are also sweatproof, so damage from that should not be a worry. If for whatever reason they do end up being damaged, they are covered by a two-year warranty by the manufacturer to give some added peace of mind. Their customer service department is amazingly easy to reach out to and get help with whether it be troubleshooting an issue or claiming a damaged product online. They reach out promptly and professionally. These headphones will not disappoint consumers looking to being safe outside while enjoying some great tunes and playlists. For those hesitant on the price point keep an eye out for sales. They happen multiple times a year and get down as low as fifty dollars for a new set.

Though this headset is a solution to eliminate having your ears plugged with ear buds or with large earmuffs, this model does have drawbacks…1. Does NOT work with the Shokz app. Only their newer more expensive models do.2. Neck band is not adjustable, which would be a very smart enhancement.3. Neck band is too large for comfort, no matter the position it will not work for someone leaning their head against a couch or chair back. The pressure eventually will dislodge the device from the desired conduction location by the ear. Any clothing with a collar or a hoodie, or a jacket, will also likely be an issue with this headband.4. Because the band is large, it made it difficult for me to find the correct location to set the conduction pieces. And then to be sure they stayed in place.They do have a ‘mini model of their more expensive headsets that would likely be better for the average to smaller head.This is my first bone-conduction hearing device, so I’m not exactly sure where to place the earpiece and due to the large size headband it does not just ‘naturally’ attach in the correct spot.I’ve not found a placement that gives ‘great’ music sound, but it does give ‘ok’ sound.Soooo for a mid-priced bone conduction headset, allowing me to hear natural sounds around me while also being able to listen to music while on a walk, I’d judge it ‘ok’. Not great, but OK. Not for in a car, nor on the couch, nor in a high-backed chair, but ok for on a walk / run or strength training. Still debating returning it… these negatives seem more associated with a low-priced device then a mid-priced one…

Easy controls, can be worn in rain (and showers), and with glasses/hats/helmets.Cons: Either 'charging' or 'full', no indication of % while charging. Use for 2+ hrs slightly hurts because of the pressure on your head. You cannot wear these while resting your headWould re-purchase/gift again, well worth your money to listen to audio and your surroundings in most cases.

Vor allen Dingen, weil sie eben weder in noch auf den Ohren sitzen, denn das kann ich beides nicht leiden dauerhaft.Ich bereue es kein bisschen!Die Klangqualität ist gut, der Akku hält selbst mit vielen Telefonaten mehrere Tage und die Reichweite passt, um den Rechner mal verlassen und einen Kaffee holen gehen zu können.Der Bügel im Nacken ist für mich genau richtig (58 cm Kopfumfang) und drückt nicht. Ebensowenig drücken die Aufleger vor den Ohren.Von daher volle Punktzahl.Einzig nervig ist, dass sie nicht wirklich gut mit MS Teams zusammenarbeiten. Ich kann Gespräche nicht annehmen. Rufe ich wo an, höre ich weder Klingeln, noch Freizeichen - das ertönt erst, wenn ich aufgelegt habe. Nerviger geht es kaum.Geschlagen wird das nur von einem Tuten, wenn man sich im Call stummschaltet. Das nervt wirklich und lässt sich nur umgehen, indem man die Kopfhörer in den Systemeinstellungen stummschaltet. Das ist bei mir aber aufwendiger, als es in Teams zu tun.Also: wer Teams nutzt, sollte darauf gefasst sein.Da ich sie insgesamt aber genial finde und nicht mehr hergebe, kein Abzug.

J’utilise ce casque principalement pour courir et j’en suis très satisfait. Le son est plutôt bon et le gros avantage est qu’on peut continuer à entendre ce qui se passe autour de soi.C’est vraiment top pour courir en ville, notamment pour entendre les voitures, mais aussi quand je cours en groupe : je peux écouter ma musique tout en continuant à discuter avec les autres.Un très bon casque pour les sorties running !

Best possible sound without having anything in or on your ear -- it rests just in front of ear and uses bone conduction. I am not an audiophile, but it is plenty loud and clear. Works well for spoken word such as audio books and podcasts; and also for music. It's good for allowing you to hear what's going on in the world; but that also means that it doesn't really block out any other noise. It can be a bit difficult to hear when walking along a busy road or in an airplane. (A workaround for a busy road is to wear a hood.)Compared to the other options from this manufacturer, I like it for traveling as it just uses a regular USB cable so you don't need to bring a special charging cable.The rechargeable battery is not replaceable, so once it wears out you need to get a new headphone. It does seem to last at least a few years of steady use, but from a sustainability viewpoint, that's not great. I use it a few hours a day, and to avoid disappointment, I charge it twice a week.One other small downside -- the band that goes behind your neck means you can't really rest your head on a seatback or pillow.This is my third purchase of this style of Shokz. I wouldn't be without it, even with the shortcomings.
