Exceptional product that works naturally
I have used this product for over 10 years. It is exceptional for migraine suffers even if the migraine is full blown. Usually I modify the dosage according to the severity and eat something when taking it. It has been my experience that whatever head pain you have it will subside within 1/2 hour, if not go away completely. I only take as needed. I always keep a bottle around at work. All my coworkers come to see me when in need. There hasn't been a case where this didn't work. Highly recommend it.

Seems to be working
**Purchased from my husbands account** I've suffered from migraine headaches dating back to when I was 18. I took prescribed medication for a long time which helped tremendously in the beginning...but seemed to stop working after many years. A little over a year ago I ended up in the E.R. with horrible pain in my head along with major pressure - tests were done to make sure there was nothing abnormal going on and nothing was found. I visited an eye doctor to make sure there was no pressure in my eyes and I got a clean bill of health there, too. I was finally referred to a Neurologist who told me that I was suffering from migraines and tension headaches and he prescribed me a new medication. I've been taking this medication religiously for a little over a year now, every single night before bed; it's a very low dosage of an antidepressant called Elavil. While it makes me sleep VERY well at night, and it has helped a little, I still suffered from bad headaches and eye pain/pressure. Frankly, I got sick and tired of the idea that I was putting this poison in me EVERY night with little results so I started looking for a healthier alternative. I read an article about Feverfew helping with body aches, such as headaches and that paired with White Willow, it could do wonder. I did a lot of research and read through so many positive reviews that I decided to give it a try. I purchased both products and started taking them together at dinner time. I've done this every day for a few months and noticed that while I still get the occasional headache, I haven't had as many AND the very few that I have had we're a lot less intense. I just ordered my second bottle and plan on continuing for as long as I'm seeing positive results. I hope this helps someone else as much as it has helped me!

Headaches be gone
I'm someone who has always suffered from chronic migranes all of my life. Some of my headaches triggers include coffee, alcohol, dehydration, and irregular sleep patterns. If I don't avoid these triggers, I am bound to get an intense headache. In the past, my headaches pain would be so bad that it would last for several days.... no amount of aspirin or other NSAIDS would relieve the pain. I am currently prescribed a medication that prevents headaches from occuring but my dosage keeps increasing, I'm currently at 3 pills per day, 50 mg. My prescribed medication gets very expensive and I can't imagine what damage it'll do to my liver eventually. So I have not been taking my prescribed medication for several months. I learned about FeverFew in nursing school and recently decided to give it a try to reduce my medication costs and to have a more natural approach for my body. I've been taking this herb for 2 weeks now (1 capsule per day). And it has done wonders for me!!! :) Within just 2 days of taking Feverfew, I was able to tell an immediate difference. I have not had any sort of headache in the past 2 weeks that I've been taking this. I've been drinking alcohol and coffee, and I never get sleep because I'm always working and studying. But, this product has completely changed my life and allows me to live my life the way I'd like to without being paranoid that I'll get a migraine due to various triggers. I honestly am so happy and pain free! As long as this continues to work for me, I'll be purchasing for life. (Side note: feverfew works prophylactically to PREVENT headaches, not treat the pain once you already have one). Good luck everyone! Hope this helps other headache/migraine sufferers. Chronic pain is no joke!

Works by inhibiting the release of serotonin
The good news is that, in my experience, feverfew can beat back a migraine for a spell in the first use. The bad news is that, in my experience, feverfew will also make you fatigued for a a good few. And depressed, and maybe left with a difficult stomach. This is because the way it treats a migraine is that Feverfew inhibits the release of serotonin. And I wish i knew that when I first took this product years ago, thinking it worked like some kind of otc painkiller. Because I got all these side effects that seemed to mimic the symptoms of mononucleosis. So there was much confusion. Opening up a capsule and taking a dab is probably best to start. Side effects should really be on the packaging. Migraines are a tough one and good luck on your journey to find the right combo of preventives with the least amount of side effects. Recently a half or quarter of folate seems to have done the trick.

Life Changing! (knock on wood)
So. I have dealt with migraines for the past decade of my life. I have tried what feels like everything - medications, chiropractic work, etc. Recently I had a medical exam (I am pursuing a career in aviation) and almost didn't pass because of my problems with headaches. After this close call, I decided I wasn't going to let migraines dictate my life anymore and set out to find the solution. Fast forward to coming across Feverfew on the internet. Like most of you reading this post, I was extremely skeptical. It seemed like such a simple solution, but I decided to give it a go. I normally have a feeling of headache or migraine to the point where I have to take preventative medication at least 1-2x a week. I have been taking Feverfew for 11 days now and NADA. No headaches! To make this even more impressive, I have been in many situations over the past 11 days that would generally cause an onset of a migraine - harsh sunlight, dehydration, drinking alcohol, etc. SO I am not 100% convinced yet as it has only been two weeks. But I am cautiously optimistic and positive enough to where I felt compelled to write a review! I was taking Feverfew 3x a day for the first week then dropped it down to 2x a day after that. Might drop it down to 1x a day in a bit to see if it is still as effective. One thing to note - I read that some people were having problems with stomach ulcers or something of that nature. If you are taking this supplement, just make sure to take it with food and lots of water every time! Don't fix one problem and create another. I will post a headache update in a while to share the status! #teamheadachefree

Worth a Try -- It Worked for Me
Feverfew cured my migraine headaches, but I found that it had to be used beforehand and in a way that is tactile, involving the senses, respiration and my sinuses. I'm fortunate in that I always knew when I'd get a migraine. Usually, on a Saturday morning, after a long stressful workweek. And I'd feel it coming the night before, just before bedtime. And that's when I'd take the Feverfew. And swallowing the pill was useless. I had to open the capsule, pour out about 50% on my tongue, mix the herb in my mouth, take a sip of water, swish it around some more, then swallow. It is very (I don't know the words to describe the flavor or what the herb does) but it isn't horrible and, afterwards, I'd have to blow my nose. I had to clear my sinuses. The next day, I had no migraine. For anyone who assumes that what I was experiencing was a sinus headache, all I can tell you is this. I remember the feel of the drill, set on medium speed, on the [in my case] left temple, that drove into my head until I was in bed with the curtains drawn shut, in sleepless agony, excepting for the times I had to vomit from the miserable, overwhelming pain. If I waited until I had the migraine, there would be little or no improvement. This is a preventative measure and I hesitate to recommend this to anyone who doesn't know when their migraine will arrive, because they may use Feverfew every night and it could be too high of a dosage. I know migraine. And I'm delighted that, in my case, Feverfew stopped it cold. I hope that clinical trials will someday be done that include the aroma and tactile use of this herb, that are always overlooked in studies done "by pill", as this cure has little to do with oral ingestion (e.g. swallowing a pill). The best Feverfew is home-grown, then blanched and frozen for winter months. But the capsules are totally effective, in my case. Thank God, my nightmare has ended.

Makes Me Extremely Drowsy/Exhausted
I can't say a whole lot about its effectiveness as of yet, but I've used it for a few days now, and every day I become too drowsy to keep my eyes openn feel lethargic, and have to take random naps. The feverfew is really the only thing that's different. I have a 20-year-old chronic headache and a lot of chronic body pain from fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome, bulging discs, and muscle spasm, so I have to constantly work on improving my situation. I know feverfew is one herb that is known to help with headaches and other types of pain, so I'm going to keep using it along with other natural pain-relieving supplements and herbs like Devil's Claw, Cramp Bark, White Willow, Blue Vervain, Skullcap, Arnica, Turmeric, Ginger, Boswellia, Glucosamine, Hyaluronic Acid, and MSM, etc. Each of these flimsy capsules is easy to squeeze and dent completely, since they're only about 1/2 to 3/4 filled with this feverfew leaf powder. It simply appears more full because the powder is fluffy and coats the insides of the capsule. I wouldn't necessarily discourage others from trying this feverfew out, because I do know the herb is helpful to plenty of those with minor pains and headaches. I just don't know if this is the best source out there.
