SHOKZ OpenRun Bone Conduction Open-Ear Bluetooth Sport Headphones, Black

These are my first pair of bone conduction open-ear headphones, and I loved them. At first I had to get used to the slight vibration, but now I love them. Sometimes when I go out I just have them on the whole time even when they are not being used most of the time. I like that I can be out shopping in a loud store and still hear my phone ring through these, without having to put on earbuds that block out my surroundings, which to me is a no-no when I'm out and about, for safety reasons. Took me a while to figure out the play/pause button is on the the bud on the left side Have a hard time hearing my audiobooks on very loud places like the train, but besides that sound is great on both music and calls. So far I've had no issue with the battery life, I charge them every two to three days since I only use them when I go out, so far so good The one thing I wasn't too happy about was the charger. I ordered the magnetic charging ones instead of the USB-C ones during Prime Days on Amazon. I wasn't going to buy a bunch of specialized cables for one piece of tech, and plugging and unplugging the one cable to move around the house seems like a pain to me. I ended up just buying a pack of adapters that go from USB-C to magnetic charger, I keep on on my keychain, and one at my desk, while the original cable is plugged in by my bed, works out great. P.S.: They also come with a nice little headband as a bonus.

Being able to hear traffic and still get audio is the main reason to buy these, and it works well. They stay put through runs and do not bounce. Battery lasts through a week of workouts and sweat has not been an issue.

Love these so much!!! They're comfy, they hold charge super well, and the sound quality is good. I prefer these over ear buds because they're more secure. I prefer that they're not noise canceling, because when walking outside, you still get sufficient sound from environment to not jeopardize personal safety. Also, when wearing in the house, I can still hear if someone speaks to me. Perfect!

Shokz Open Run bone-conducting headphones are lightweight, comfortable, and secure, allowing users to hear surrounding sounds while listening to music. The Open Run Pro model offers improved sound quality with enhanced bass and higher volume. I have several brands of ear buds all of which go into or cover my ears and headphones which cover and set on top of the ears. I was looking for something that did not go inside or cover my ears yet would give me a good sound and was a comfortable secure fit. In my search for headphones, I began with the Open Run model. These headphones are lightweight, comfortable to wear all day, and fit securely. Unlike my previous ear buds, they remain in place without constant adjustment, and unlike my over-the-ear headphones, they do not cover my ears. Their small size makes them easy to pack or carry during trips or errands. The bone-conducting sound design allows me to hear all surrounding sounds, such as traffic, TV, children, and people around me, while still listening to my music. This can be advantageous or disadvantageous depending on my preferences. While the Open Run model’s sound quality was acceptable, I desired more bass and higher sound volume if these were to become my preferred headphones. I was particularly impressed by the fit, quality, and other aspects of the Open Run model, so I returned it and ordered the Open Run Pro model. The Open Run Pro model offers improved sound quality with enhanced bass and higher sound volume. Like the Open Run model, it fits well and is comfortable to wear for extended periods. Strategies for Mitigating Surrounding Sounds: In previous iterations of the Open Run Shozk, earplugs were included as a default accessory. While this may seem counterintuitive to the principles of open hearing and bone conduction technology, I have discovered that in situations where external sounds are undesirable, using earplugs with the Shozk headphones can be highly effective in providing a degree of sound isolation.

For all the guff that is given about it, the sound quality on this is rather decent! I'm no audiophile, so I suppose I wouldn't know what distinguishes 'good' sound quality, but it certainly isn't any noticeably worse than most of my devices. But the control interface is just downright disappointing, especially for $80. Double-tap can often register as single-tap if you do it too fast. I've also often accidentally done the 'return call' action so many times I'd rather it didn't have it to begin with. The volume changing button will let out a beep that can range from annoying to ear-splitting. The interface is definitely the worst thing about the product here. Comfort is relatively good. Your ears will acclimate if you wear it often enough. If you don't wear it often enough then prolonged usage can cause some mild discomfort or ache at the top of your ears where it rests. Certain frequencies at louder volumes will create buzzing where it sits on your cheekbones. Not enough to be discomforting to me; just noticeable. The battery life is nothing to write home about. It should get you through the day but frequent usage will drain it relatively fast. I'm also under the impression that the idle power drain is pretty significant. Audio pollution it hit-or-miss. Certain frequencies, high ones especially, will leak out at even medium audio. The higher audio ranges will be comprehensible from at least a few feat away. Additionally, you won't be able to hear the audio as well if there's significant noise around you - this device is intentionally made *not* for isolation. Which personally, I love, but don't expect this to let you listen to music in peace. Overall, a decent purchase, but not one I can justify to most people for $80. It fits a very specific needs category. If you need to hit your surroundings, or simply hate things in your ears, this may very well be for you. I'm not sure I trust other brands to have similar quality of audio or build below this price point, sadly (there's a lot of knockoffs). If those sound like things you don't need, then I can't really suggest it; just get some wireless earbuds.

Im a runner and these are perfect for my daily runs. Battery life is long and sound quality is great. Best part is i don't have something stuffed in my ear. They lay gently outside my ear.

I had these for 3 years and still going strong. The batter life is incredible. The sound is great. I only use them for work, but they keep me hands free. The buds lasted longer than the charger. That's crazy. These are the best blue tooth buds I've ever owned. I have several different one including the Apple ear pod. They blow them all away!!

First off, the fit is perfect. The wrap-around band sits lightly on your head and neck; it feels like one seamless piece. I often forget I’m wearing them—no rubbing, no shifting, no reminders. Even when I’m playing sports, running, or golfing, they stay put and feel like nothing’s there—except for the amazing sound. Sound quality? Incredible. Deep, clear, and immersive—for bone conduction, it blew me away. They manage all that while letting me stay aware of my surroundings, which is huge outdoors. I’ve tried over-the-head headphones like Bose too, and while the sound is great, they start to feel like a clamp after a while—and they’re incredibly expensive. These SHOKZ are way more comfortable for long use and don’t squeeze your head or ears. I sweat a lot, and these handle it like champs—lightweight, sweat-resistant, no slipping, no discomfort, and no shorting out. They also look sleek and aren’t bulky or weird. Best of all, they’re way more affordable than Apple earbuds, with better real-world performance for active use. If you’re thinking about these—stop thinking and buy them. I’d recommend them over any other earbuds or headphones in a heartbeat.

Je recherchais des écouteurs pour mes balades à pied ou en vélo. Ce produit est parfait pour cette utilisation. Son poids est très faible, on oublie rapidement quand on le porte. Enfin un écouteur que je peux porter pendant des heures sans être gêné. En casque audio pour écouter de la musique à la maison, ce n'est pas le bon produit malgré une belle qualité de son, mais en balade il est indispensable, il ne bouche pas les oreilles, donc les bruits extérieurs ne sont pas diminués, parfait pour les balades surtout en vélo. Je l'utilise aussi au bureau en casque audio avec mon PC. Pour info, on peut s'en servir avec son téléphone, il y a un micro intégré. Dernier point : attention il y a 2 tailles, choisissez bien votre taille

I got the Shokz OpenRun headset as a birthday gift for my husband, and it’s honestly one of the best purchases I’ve made. He uses it daily, and what he really appreciates is how lightweight and comfortable it is. Because of the open-ear design, it doesn’t sit inside the ears like traditional earbuds — which means his ears can still breathe, and there’s proper airflow. No more soreness or stuffiness after long hours of use. The sound quality is surprisingly clear, and it still feels immersive without blocking outside noise completely — which is a big plus when he’s out walking or biking. The fit is secure but not tight, and the battery life easily lasts through his full day. For the price, this headset is an amazing value. It’s premium without being overpriced, and it delivers on everything it promises. My husband loves it — and now I got a red pair for myself as well. I’m a big fan of bone conduction headphones. If you’ve ever experienced that claustrophobic feeling of being cut off from your surroundings, then bone conduction is definitely the way to go. No more itchy or sweaty ears from earbuds or the risk of one falling out. You can listen to music or podcasts and still hear your surroundings and the safety aspect speaks for itself. There are a range of bone conduction devices on the market but Shokz are definitely the Rolls Royce of these and have been developing this technology for around 20 years. I originally purchased a cheaper pair, when I say ‘cheap’ they were still around the £40 mark. I enjoyed the experience and later decided to go for the Shokz Openrun and as soon as I put them on I realised the difference in quality. They are well balanced and sit comfortably on the ears and they sounded much better. If you want a ‘near’ experience of what it feels like to wear bone conduction headphones then put a pair of spectacles on backwards so that the lenses are at the rear of your head and the arms of the glasses rest over you ears. They sit gently and comfortably over your ears but the listening experience is through your cheekbones. They are discreet and can also be worn comfortably with glasses. After a while you almost forget you are wearing them. It is very easy to turn the Shokz OpenRun on using the manual button which is located just behind the right ear. You will hear a woman’s voice ‘welcome you’ and confirm that you are ‘connected.’ I’ve not experienced any problem with connection, it always seems to work. If for some reason you go out of the Bluetooth range of your connected device you will hear 2 beeps in rapid succession to inform you of this. As soon as you are within range you will hear ‘connected!’ I would like to experience the more expensive OpenRun Pro, but some of the reviews I’ve looked at say that the difference in sound is minimal and in fact the OpenRun have a higher water and sweat resistance than the pros? Makes no sense! Anyhow, I can thoroughly recommend these quality headphones, five stars and perfect for audio books too!
