Is this product waterproof please?

I haven't tested it but I would say rain proof but not fully water proof.

Does anyone have any pictures of the inside please?

Yes, it's huge but AMAZON won't let me take a photo!

I am wondering if it will fit in Rayner's 40 25 20 boxes? Is the smallest one out of all the airlines. I just can't find luggage like that.

Yes it small for hand luggage but weigh it first before packing

how many compartments

Apart from the main compartment ,there is only one small zipped pocket on the front,at the top. There is a small net half pocket on front, not closeable ,which would probably only hold a boarding pass! There is a very small attached zipped purse on front ,and I mean small. You could get maybe a couple of credit cards in it. But I bought it because it's the exact size for Easyjets new hand luggage allowances.
