Great latch for the money

This is the second time I have purchased these exact hatch doors. I have them on both of my work boats and they work great! They are easy to install. They are sturdy. And they give you access to the underside of your deck when the original boat did not come with hatch cutouts.

My old front hatch was leaking which then caused the compartment to develop black mold. The old hinge was exposed and when the rubber gasket dry rotted water started to leak in. I really like the way the hinge and seal are all covered by a lip. With the new hatch I now have a very dry compartment. After the new Amarine hatch was installed I put my 200lbs on the lid which did not flex. Great design. Great price

Great replacement hatch for the propane access on my RV

I bought these hatches and in less than month they yellowed to the point where it was so un slightly I had to remove them.....in attempt to not leave a bad review I attempted to save the loss with plastic paint which was only worse cause the day I put on the boat the next day the paint started to bubble and all I can say is that the particular plastic they use for this product must be made of a horrible polymer of some sort cause 3 weeks and a day after purchase they were ruined from being outside .....which last I checked is where most men and women fish.....on the water......can't really catch fish inside under shade 😂....I have never in my entire life written a bad review but after my neighbor purchased the exact exact hatch (unknowingly) I went over and his did the exact same thing in 2 weeks of open sun........please don't buy this product if you intend to fish outdoors.....I felt I needed to say something that poor man is on social security and I know he couldn't afford to just throw them away like I did. This review is only to warn against the yellowing .

It is a great replacement for what I had before on my boat deck and keeps most of the water out. But, it turned yellow in just over a year in the Florida sun. So, if your looking for long lasting aesthetics, keep looking.
