Zatarain'sBlack Beans & Rice, 7 oz

I just tried this maybe a week ago, and I’ve already reordered it twice. I don’t eat meat or seafood, so I can make a meal of this. Preparation is very easy - just add the packet to water and oil or butter, then bring it to a boil and simmer for about 25 minutes. I like to add about a half cup of frozen corn kernels and an equal amount of salsa while it’s cooking, and then serve it topped with sour cream. It has just a kick of spice to amp up the flavor, but not so much heat as to burn your mouth or stomach lining. Highly recommended.

This is extremely easy to make and my wife and I liked it. It should be reasonably healthy and tastes good. Not much else to say. Good flavor, but not too spicy for my wife. Their jambalaya is good too, although I do add diced tomatoes.

Great loved it very much and added a small can of tomatoes hit the spot!

kroger no longer carries the black bean version. sounds a bit yucky--black beans?--but is delicious.

There are several versions of the regular jambalaya. Please bring back the cheese version. it was the only one I ate and I've eaten it for years and years. Thank you!
