Works as well as 'rescue tape' used to
I've used "Rescue Tape" for years, however the last two rolls that I bought don't stick to themselves as well as they originally did. Maybe 50% of the holding power of what it used to be. I decided to try XFasten and it works just as well for me as rescue tape used to. I also like the container it comes in which I think might help keep it 'fresher' and less likely to get dusty and dirty. Plus, the price per foot is a better deal than what I've paid for 'rescue in the past. Lately I've used it mostly on 300 ft of garden hose that goes to some watering troughs for wildlife. Due to the Sun, cracks will develop in the garden hose. Rescue tape would barely hold and I would have to zip tie it and it would still leak a bit. The self-fusing tape from Harbor Freight would fall apart in the sun after a month. So far the XFasten tape is holding up very well to the Sun and doesn't leak, and I don't need to use zip ties for extra support.

GREAT leak mender! Very stretchy and bonds when it sticks. So quick & simple!
This tape worked well on my garden hose. You may need a second layer on larger leaks. BUT no instructions came with it. IMO You need three dexterous hands!! I'm a clutz. It kept sticking to itself!

Performs as stated. Very good.
A little goes a long way. Very good product. Sticks very well.

Amazing tape!
OMG this stuff is amazing! So easy to use. I've repaired two items with it already and have been impressed with how easy it is to use. One caveat - it is hard to get the backing off, at least for someone like me who keeps their fingernails very short.

Strong, Reliable Seal for Quick Repairs
The XFasten self‑fusing silicone tape works exactly the way you want a repair tape to work. It bonds to itself instantly, creates a tight waterproof seal, and holds up well under pressure. I used it for hose and pipe fixes, and it stayed secure even outdoors in heat and moisture. The 1" width gives good coverage, and the 36‑foot roll lasts a long time. It’s great for plumbing leaks, electrical cable protection, and emergency repairs. The yellow color is bright and easy to spot, which is helpful when you need to see what you’ve wrapped.I’m giving it four stars only because it takes a bit of practice to stretch and wrap it just right, but once you get the hang of it, it’s extremely effective.A dependable, weatherproof tape that’s great to keep on hand for quick fixes.

Really works
Looks like a non-sticky silicone strip at first but once you stretch and seal, it is super effective. I think it is most useful to seal leaky tubular structures and not flat structures.

Adds grip to your arcade dance game bars!
I bought this self fusing silicone tape to add grip to the bars on my StepManiaX arcade machine. It's a full body rhythm game and at higher levels of play, holding onto the metal bar behind you becomes a useful and recommended technique intended to allow a player to stabilize their upper body and shift weight away from their legs and feet so they can move faster, with less strain on muscles. The reason I chose to purchase and use this tape is because the StepManiaX bars are smooth and slippery. I prefer to have a good grip when I hold onto them. This silicone tape provides very good grip without being tacky or rough. I was using anti-slip workout gloves prior to this but they made my hands hot and the silicone pattern on the gloves started to fall off and make a mess. One 36ft roll of this tape was the perfect amount to cover both bars with just a tiny bit leftover. I plan on purchasing a second roll to make a second layer but this isn't necessary, one layer is perfectly fine!I highly recommend that you don't make the initial mistake I made of stretching the tape too much while wrapping. I originally stretched the tape too tautly and after about 15 wraps around the bar, the tape abruptly split down the side of my wraps! Seems there was too much tension created due to the tautly wrapped tape. When I attempted to start wrapping again, I made sure to stretch the tape with about half the force I was using originally. Best way I an describe how much force to use is that you don't want to stretch the tape to the point of the tape's width becoming overly thin. Just provide a gentle stretch during your wrapping and it will be plenty!I love that the tape comes in a round plastic container with a screw lid for storage, very useful. This silicone tape takes 3-4 hours to fully fuse to itself and I have noticed that it truly doesn't leave any sort of residue whatsoever on the polished metal bars I wrapped.I highly recommend this tape, especially if you're a rhythm game player who wants to add amazing grip to the bars on your dance game!

Self Fusing Silicone Tape
Worked great for repairing an extension cord. I also tried it on a leaking PVC water pipe and it did not work too well.

Decent price, quality and quantity -- 1001 Uses!
Great self-fusing silicone tape for so many uses both indoors and outdoors, including sports grips, sealing joints on eavestrough downspouts or sectioned metal broom handles, adding a slightly grippy or protective wrap to tool handles of all sorts (incl hairdryer), and a quick semi-permanent fix for a leaking plumbing pipe or even a cracked vacuum cleaner hose, for instance. I like that it withstands hot and cold temperatures and that it can be removed without leaving a glue residue. If your looking for standard electrical tape or a sticky type of tape, this is not it. It's also not for use on fabric type textiles or anything with loose, flaky, dusty debris. This fusion tape was a decent price for the quantity. It works as intended when used and stored correctly. I like that the roll comes in a see-through storage box. Bought 2 different colours -- Yellow and black. Should last me quite some time.

Heat proof isolation tape
I used this tape to make my smart candle bulbs a little more quiet. The idea was to isolate the glass from the shade that is supported by metal wire. I hope they will transfer to any following bulbs but these usually last a lifetime. You just need to make it long enough to cover the area of contact and then stretch the tape to overlap a short distance to make it bond.
