This potato masher is exceptional! It is solid cast stainless steel with sturdy construction made to last. The shaft stays steady when mashing and the grate creates a smooth texture. It is versatile because it also great for guacamole as well as potatoes. Highly recommend this masher!

I love this product so far. It feels extremely sturdy and if there are any, I can't tell where the weld marks are on it. It looks like one solid piece of steel which I believe adds a certain elegance to it.

I broke my old trusty tater masher after 20 years of abuse. I'm really surprised it lasted that long. I happened across one similar to my old one for $6 while grocery shopping so I decided to give it a go. Half way through it's first potato mashing, the handle came right off in my hand. I slid the handle back on and limped it through it's maiden voyage before tossing it into the trash and fired up Amazon to research its replacement. I ran across this particular stainless steel tater masher, looked it over and read the reviews, and realized this was the one. This will be the heirloom that I pass down through the generations. I can actually see it lasting that long. It's a beast! Taters dread coming into my house out of pure fear of my newfound mashing ability. They try to slip through unscathed but they didn't stand a chance. This masher's design assures smooth smashed potatoes at a record clip. I can get potatoes to their smooth creaminess in about half the time to took me previously... and they're much smoother than before. I am rating 5 stars for being easy to clean, 5 stars for sturdiness. and 4 stars for ease of use. The hole on the end of the handle for hanging it makes using the masher almost uncomfortable during use. It could just be my technique of mashing with the handle in the palm of my hand. It's not sharp ,but it's not palm friendly either. If I knew for a fact that the handle was solid, I'd cut off the end and grind it out smooth and it would be perfect. If you're looking for a sturdy, quick, easy to use masher that's a breeze to clean, look no further.

Very nice and sturdy. Long enough handle to mash potatoes in a large pot. Holes are just right size for mashing. Appears to be all one metal piece so it’ if anything would be welded you can’t tell. Looks very smooth. Wanted one that looked like my mother’s but better built. This one is great. I would but again but I only needed one. 😊. Very good buy.

Good masher. Still keep my "curvy rod" masher, so this is an enhancement rather than replacement. I can start mashing potatoes with old masher, then use this for a finer texture. This masher is sturdy, well made and doubt that I will wear this out. Would put in the bunker... you never know...

Functional,Sturdy, Very well made, but not very pretty. The material used to make this masher is Not going to peel or put flaking coating into my food like the well known brand from well known brick and mortar store did.

This is a quality potato masher and will last for many years if taking care of properly. It is constructed very well and very sturdy. It is made of quality material. it is weighted very well without being heavy. It is comfortable and smooth in the hand. There are no sharp edges like some others have mentioned. It is not boxed, it is in a bag.
