what color are the included cables?

White RM Series (2021) PSUs comes with white cables to match the PSU. If you have any more questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out via support on our website and we'll happily assist you.

does this power supply use TYPE 4 cables?

From what I recall, I believe it does

Would you recommend using 1 pcie cable for a high end graphics card or 2 when using this power supply?

I recommend using two separate cables rather than the dual splitter cable. I think the recommendation comes more from the card manufacturer depending on the size of your card.

Is it normal for these to have a fairly noticeable electrical smell when they are new? not exactly burned, strong electrical i've never had with a psu

No, that is not a regular thing. Best to have it warrantied or exchanged.
