Do you have to have a sim card installed in watch to use phone feature

If it needed a sim card, it would be a phone and wouldn't need to connect to one. It is a Bluetooth interface to a phone. That said, my watch lasted 31 days before the battery leaked into the earphone pockets and was thrown away. Before that, the ear buds were useless, although the watch performed well with other Bluetooth ear buds. I wouldn't recommend it though.
