This paper is to be used while pressing flowers to absorb the moisture to dry the flowers. I do not believe that it is intended to be used to write on with fountain pens. If you try it I think you will find that the ink will spread out and not show it clearly

Great for fountain pens, too

Most fountain pen afficenados know real pen blotter paper has all but disappeared. Real blotters are a heavy style cardstock that has a fuzziness to it. This paper is the same but about 1/3 lighter in weight - but it works excellent for slow drying inks and ink blots just like it's heavier cousin. Leaps and bounds better than the generic cardstock being called blotter paper - rest assured this is a good blotter paper for your rocker or roller blotter!
