I have been working for years trying to make my home 'smart' and lights seemed like a good entry point. If you have ever looked at swapping out all of your bulbs for a smart system, you know that the choices and decisions can be quite daunting. For the money, the Wiz line of products is very hard to beat. The price is way better than Hue, and the performance is much better than some of the other brands, especially when looking for multi-colored bulbs. Pros: * Cost - these things are relatively cheap * No base station - there is none required. That is a huge benefit, as it reduces the overall cost * Lots of colors - Playing with the colors and creating various scenes is really fun. * The app is easy to use - the app is pretty easy to use, once you figure out some of its quirks. If you are someone who give up when something doesn't work exactly like you think it should on your first attempt, you might want to reconsider this purchase (or any sort of smart home purchases until the tech matures a bit further, to be honest). Making groups and setting up your various rooms is really easy. Even controlling lights in groups within each room is as easy as drag and drop Things I wish were better: * Rhythms - While Rhythms are a cool idea, it just really doesn't work like I think it should. It gets confused if a switch is inadvertently turned off during a rhythm, and then starts over. It can be a bit of a pain to remove a rhythm if you have any sort of network issue * 2.4Ghz only - I know that this is extremely common for most smart devices these days, but these will only work on a 2.4Ghz wifi band. This can become aggravating when you have a multi-band wifi where all of the networks share a name. Getting your devices to all talk to the 2.4 band can be challenging. It's not impossible, but it may be a frustrating experience for some. Overall, I would not hesitate to recommend this brand to anyone who wants to incorporate smart light bulbs into their home but doesn't want to break the bank at the same time.

I have 6 of these bulbs. They were practically unusable with the 1st version of their Android App. It was clunky and painful to setup each bulb. In fact, so much so that I just put them in a box and didn't even bother again. One day I got an update to the app, so I pulled them out and re-tried them. HUGE difference. Complete re-design of the app and well worth their effort. Smoother setup, logical layouts, more features. I have over 100 IOT smarthome devices and these are perfect for my Airbnb as they are independent and don't require any kind of hub; just WiFi. They also work with Home Assistant (not just Alexa/Google/etc.)

They are great for my needs. I really like them. You CAN use them with HomeKit but it only has limited features the wiz app is better and you can make shortcuts to facilitate uses. The brightness is great it’s 800 lumens and colors are really nice.

I love that these lights dont need a base station to run, just screw it in and connect them up! Easy to program with the WIZ app and was simple to connect them to Alexa for voice control. They can be a bit tricky to connect, be sure to be on a wifi that is 2.5GHz rather than the standard 5GHz that most routers are setup with. It is also great to use in areas where multiple lights are connected to one power switch such as a ceiling fan or bar lights as you can name them separately and turn them on individually instead of all at once I love the various dynamic modes to set any mood , the color range is great and once you have them named or set in a room Alexa can turn them on and off by name or by room which is super helpful in the middle of the night when you realize you left the downstairs lights on! Great value for the money, I now have them in every room in my house!

Worked great for a few months but now they are constant problems. The app almost always now says that the "device is offline". Which means you can't use the app to control the bulb. This includes adjusting the brightness. So when the light does come on, it's often on the default setting at the dimmest brightness setting. Ive also had issues with the app reconnecting and turning the lights on at random times throughout the day or night. The only advice support was to try manually reset each time by physically turning the light off and on again until the app recognizes it. That sometimes works, but it defeats the purpose of an app controlled bulb if I have to spend several minutes turning the light on and off again every single time I want to turn on the light. It also makes it so that the timer/ automation feature doesnt work at all, and that feature was the main reason I got these. The problems started when it's too late to return them, so I'll just have to toss them and either try another brand or return to normal bulbs.

Love these bulbs!! I have bought several of them. I have so much fun with them. I can change the color. Create my own color. Schedule times for my lights to turn on and off. They work great with my Alexa with voice control. So easy to hook up. Worth it buy these bulbs

I love these so much that I had to buy a new Wi-Fi router. Apparently mine could only handle 10 devices. I have over 30 different lights and plugins in the house. The app is fairly easy to use it and doesn't cost anything. The colors are wonderful at Christmas time we really shine. My daughter who has access to the app loves to turn my bedroom lights on to party mode.

Permite cambiar de manera muy fluida entre luz blanca cálida y fría, ofrece una amplia variedad de colores y cuenta con efectos o atmósferas predefinidas que son ideales para adaptar cualquier espacio. Además, la calidad del producto me sorprendió gratamente: por cuestiones de trabajo lo tuve encendido todo el día en distintas tonalidades de luz blanca y demostró una durabilidad excelente de aproximadamente dos años de uso continuo. El único inconveniente importante que encontré radica en el proceso de vinculación y el software. Desde el inicio se me hizo un dispositivo difícil de configurar con la red, tomándome bastante tiempo lograr el enlace a pesar de haber seguido las instrucciones al pie de la letra. No es un proceso tan rápido como se desearía para un artículo para el hogar. Aunado a esto, considero incómodo y confuso que la marca haya reemplazado su aplicación anterior por una versión nueva. Desde mi perspectiva, ambas plataformas funcionan exactamente igual para las necesidades básicas del usuario, por lo que el cambio resulta innecesario y complica la experiencia general. A pesar de estos detalles de software, el foco en sí es un hardware magnífico que vale mucho la pena por su resistencia.

Funciona muy bien y es fácil de usar, aunque en ocasiones puede tardar un poco en conectarse o perder señal si el WiFi no es muy estable (algo común en este tipo de focos). Aun así, por el precio y funciones que ofrece, vale la pena

my favourite bulbs! I have several of them. i’ve been able to control them from thousands of miles away, compared to other bulbs that you need to be within a certain range to control. My boyfriend also has access to my account and can’t alter them in the mornings when I refuse to wake up. Great price, great connectivity, great app. All around a great smart bulb I hope they never change.
