Office Chair Wheel Set

The TICONN office chair wheels are exceptionally well designed and manufactured. They roll better than the original wheels that came with the chair and are rated to support more weight than the original wheels. Replacing the wheels was simple and quick.

I want to thank whoever invented these, I could kiss you! I am an amputee and when my prosthetic leg is hurting me, I use an office chair to get myself around my house, I know, sounds silly, but it worked up until the wheels on my old office chair got wrapped up with hair and debris. I spent an hour trying to untangle the mess with no luck. I was about to throw out the chair and thought to search for new wheels. I read the reviews on these and decided to try it out. I am so happy I did!! I am literally gliding around my place effortlessly. My old wheels sounded like roller skates, these are roller blades. Not a sound, smooth and no worries on dog hair getting caught in the wheels. The wheels are so quiet that I’m able to sneak up on my kid and scare the living daylights out of him. It’s fantastic!! I don’t have soars under my armpits from using crutches and I can move around with just one leg. I’ve even taken the dogs for a ride in the house! Anyhow. I’ve been an amputee for my entire life and wish this was available as an alternative for someone who prefers to not use a wheelchair. These wheels have changed my daily living and increased my independence. Thank you! Kisses to the investors. You have increase my quality of life!

For me, I replaced the original casters because they would come apart frequently. I am using my chair on a carpet and while it is of a very low pile, I suppose it provided enough friction to pop the standard casters apart. That is where these replacement casters came in. The good - * They solve the falling apart caster problem because there is nothing to fall apart * They are easy to install * They seem quality and long-lasting (time will tell) * Quiet The jury is out - * Possibly because they are taller than the standard casters, I notice that there is a slight wobble at the joint between the chair base and the caster. It is not something you feel, simply something that you can see. I'm not entirely sure if this will cause undue stress on the chair over time, or if its nuttin' The not so good * As others have pointed out when changing direction whilst moving about, the casters' movement can be a bit clunky - more so than standard casters. For me though, replacing the stock casters with these was a no-brainer. Also, it's cheaper than purchasing a replacement quality mat under my desk (my old one too had disintegrated after years of use - possibly why the old casters were falling apart more frequently). If your existing casters are fine and you already have a mat, probably you don't need these. Update a few years in... No issue with the wobble. It has been reliable and didnt affect the chair at the connection point. I did downgrade the overall rating by one star because, it is a bit annoying when changing directions because the wheels tend to get "stuck" in a direction I am not intending to move. This is the nature of the beast for such a wheel as compared to wider wheels on casters, so I would not expect any other wheel of the same style to behave differently. Perhaps, its a bit more noticeable as I am using the chair on carpet and not wood or stone floors. Still. I would recommend. I'm happy with them.

I use these in a bedroom office with low-pile wall-to-wall carpet. Now, my extra-cheap used office chair with the broken tilt adjustment feels almost like a Steelcase Leap chair or like a Herman Miller chair. All for $15. I just snapped them on today so I don't know how long they will last, but man: they work great, rolling along on this carpet. They also work on the linoleum kitchen floor. These new ones are very quiet. The old plastic wheels made a racket rolling across the kitchen. They are bigger than they look online, so they increase the height of the chair a little bit. Recommend them!

These wheels are much stronger than the cheap, plastic wheels that originally came with the chair! They fit perfectly and were easy to replace. I believe the design will lessen the amount of debris and hair that gets caught in the wheels. I'm now encouraged to replace other wheeled items I have in the house.

This is the second set that I have purchased - one for my chair at work, that I paid with my own money - at work, little pieces of gravel would get caught under the hard plastic wheels that came with the office chair - this would immediately halt movement and grind the little rocks into the luxury vinyl plank flooring leaving deep scratches behind. These wheels solved that problem - they are large enough to roll over those little pieces of gravel and the wheels do not get stuck. They also raised the height of the chair by about an inch, which was a nice bonus for me. I also bought these for my personal office chair at home - the stock hard plastic wheels were causing the foam under the carpet to wear out and I could envision the carpet beginning to fray - I was not certain if these would roll well on carpet but they are much, much better than the stock wheels. I believe with the way these glide over the carpet, I might have been able to prevent damage to the foam underlayment had I purchased these sooner. I highly recommend these as replacements for the stock wheels that come on most office chairs on hard flooring and on carpet!

These are great casters. I put a set on a shop stool in my garage, the only problem is the floor has a slight slope and my stool rolls away.
