We live in London with a small balcony and this is the perfect size for our Amber to get a good spin, and always catch the wee! It's sturdy and simple to set up too. For ease of cleaning, we add a pee pad between the grass and plastic to absorb most of the liquid and then change this at the end of the day, and per another review, have just added kitty litter to the beneath tray to really absorb the smells in this heat! Because of it's size it's really easy to clean too, we just use a soapy solution of bubblegum neutraliser and a silicone scrubber every once in a while to keep it fresh and it still looks like the day we bought it! Highly recommend!

I bought this for my 2mth old Pup who is now 4mths (Cavachon). It sits on my balcony. From Day 1, the pup was drawn to it & very quickly became the only place for poops. Now, at 4mths, he will only pee /poop here. Pooping less though, as he gets used to his walking routines.. The only downside is the smell. It's very difficult to get rid of it no matter what product you use. My hope is to not have any need for it in the coming weeks/months once the pups bladder is strong enough to hold it for walks. Id recommend it, but as an outside device only. ( The smell is bad enough in the open air) I have had no issue with durability. It's as good as it was 2mths ago when Pup started to use it.

This item arrived safe and well packaged. This is a very clever device for those pet lovers that are toilet training puppies! This toilet training pad has a hidden compartment below so you can easily clean up and empty as required. The top is made up of artificial style woven grass that your pet will not only find comfortable, but safe too. This is also fully washable, and is porous to allow the flow to funnel beneath. It is super soft and very durable! It's a very good size, so can be used by any pet of any size. Both of my little dogs have managed to get onto it without a problem. It's a paws up from them! I highly recommend this product.

I found this onerous to clean - a cat tray would have been easier. And it was very expensive for what it was. I gave up on it after six weeks.

We have a very nervous dog who doesn't always feel up to going out. She was getting through a lot of puppy pads and it didn't look very nice having one on our floor all the time. Enter this mat. With just a little encouragement she took to it right away and hasn't looked back. We're saving money on pads, the place looks nicer, and there's less rubbish to take out. Highly recommended. My only criticism is the mat gets quite smelly but it's fine if you make sure to rinse it regularly.

I live in a rather stylish marina view apartment, because I'm a successful jet set pup. That does mean that I don't have a garden though. Up side; no pesky cats. Down side; nowhere to drop dollops or do widdles. Started pretty well. Dad used a puppy pad on it for the first day or two until I got used to it. Then when he took that off, I immediately recognised it as grass and used it all the time. My dollops sit on top and are easy to clean off. My widdles immediately disappeared, so bark, so good. However, the grass mat is super duper absorbent but not in a good way. It doesn't allow my yellows to drain. Instead, they just mellow on the grass backing. After a few days of nothing in the tray, Dad stripped it out and soaked it in the bath. Then he used doggie shampoo to clean it, rinsed it, and repeated the process all over again. Mat was clean and fresh as a daisy. Or so it seemed. Less than a day later, the smell was once again overpowering. Dad has a PhD so he did some research. Without getting super woofer boring, the plastic type used for the fake grass reacts with the ammonia in my widdles to create fairly noxious gases. Stinky stinky. A second wash, same as before plus a third wash with white wine vinegar to neutralise the ammonia and out on the balcony it went. Same result. Stinky stinky. As an experiment, poured quarter of a pint of water on the mat every 2 hours for 2 days. Not one drop ended up in the pan; the mat itself therefore holds several pints of widdles before it starts to drain. In the end, Dad replaced the supplied grass with some cheap fake turf from Homebase (£5.95 for 2m x 1m),poked a load of holes in it, and all works great now. Top tip. Have a bucket or planter outdoors to pour the widdles into to make transportation to the loo easier; the flat pan in this equals sloshy sloshy (natural resonance). That's it. Absolute waste of money! After following instructions my dog has not changed his toileting habits!! He still leaves his waste in the same places as before, and totally. Ignores this toilet!!! This has proven to be the most useless product l have ever bought from amazon!!! Buyers please beware!

This is a really good alternative to puppy pads. I live in an apartment and currently our puppy can’t go outside until their 2nd vaccinations. This grass alternative will prepare them for when we can take them outside. Our puppy has been home for a week now and is already toilet trained. It’s easy to clean and drips into the tray below. I would suggest getting a second mat in order to allow them to dry. Some grass strands do come out but I’d say it’s very tough and has really helped our puppy settle in!

When we first got our puppy we were having issues with him trying to play and eat the pee pads, so we got this, and it worked great until he was fully potty trained. Didnt smell like pee but the plastic smell was a bit intense.
