I recently switched from using traditional shelf storage to the Akro-Mils 30136 Heavy Duty Wall Mount system for my workspace, and I couldn’t be happier with the decision. Here’s a detailed review based on my experience: Delivery and Customer Service: My initial order of four sets arrived with some damage due to shipping, which was disappointing. However, the customer service at Akro-Mils was prompt and efficient in handling this issue. They replaced the damaged units quickly and without any hassle, which was a relief and greatly appreciated. Product Quality and Installation: Once the replacement units arrived, installation was straightforward. The wall mounts are built to be sturdy and can hold a significant amount of weight, which is excellent for various tools and parts. They work seamlessly with all compatible Akro-Mils storage bins, which snap into place easily and stay secure. Space Efficiency: The most significant advantage of the Akro-Mils 30136 Wall Mount system is the amount of space it saves. Previously, I used Home Depot storage bins on shelves which took up a lot of room. By switching to these wall-mounted units, I’ve saved about 75% of room, which has made my working area much more organized and accessible. These are incredibly sturdy and easy to mount - mounting the panels to studs is strongly recommended due to the weight of just the panels, let alone the bins and anything you put in them. Hole spacing from the center to the outside is exactly 16" to match standard US stud spacing, so all you need to do is to find the stud for the center holes, drill/screw one hole, mount and level up, and your spacing will be correct for the other studs. If you take this approach, you'll use the smaller round holes on the edges vs. the larger keyed holes that are spaced around 17" from the center. (Vertical hole spacing is 6"). Obviously, they fit the Akro-Mils bins perfectly - for some other bins I had lying around, not so much, but that depends on the manufacturer as to whether they follow Akro-Mils specs.

All corners were severely bent and the entire piece was bent at the middle. I tried to get a replacement but they would only refund me, not replace, and it had gone up in price by $100. So I couldn't afford to get another. I had to try and bend the corners straight with pliers and a towel. I'll tell you it is heavy duty metal and hard to bend myself. However, that cracked the paint and clear coat. As for the big bend across the piece I just had to force it as straight as possible against the wall as I mounted it. It is a very good storage system for my daughter's medical supplies. I need one more and hope it doesn't come bent. I want the same color, beige, but it's still ridiculously expensive. So I gotta get the gray and my OCD is gonna eat me alive when I look at it on the beige wall. I wouldn't care if it was in a garage or something but it's in my home for myself and her nurses to access supplies easier.

Great panels, sure 5 stars. Just understand ur best to only order 1 at a time or don't order any because they get trashed during transit. 12 out of 16 panel corners are all bent up, all have chipped paint and loaded with scratches in the formerly nice paint. They put "HEAVY" stickers on the box but then were dumb enough not to box it well, add corner protection, nor cardboard in between each panel. Spent over $200 for these and they look like #@%^

I store my tools on my workshop walls. They are always visible and easily accessible. I can pull my electrical bin off the wall, dump it on the counter and quickly find what I was after. Then I push everything back into the bin and return it to the wall when I finish the job.

Maybe they they read older reviews, had a lot of returns and beefed up the packaging. Maybe my Amazon delivery team was just really good. Mine arrived in excellent condition. As shown in the photo, the manufacturer has reinforced the edge of the package with about 3" of folded over and ridged cardboard. I had no bent edges or bends in the middle. I got it mounted up in about 5 minutes by setting it on a sideways 2x6 and fastening the top middle screw, then leveling it and filling in most of the rest of the mounting holes. The middle rows of bright blue bins are new Akro units, the rest I've had for many years, but they fit just fine. I am happy with this purchase. This is not a cheap unit, but I don't deduct stars for price. Based on what I estimated I would have to do to manually create metal mounting points for this many bins, it was just much easier to buy and install this unit. 20250801 ETA: I purchased two of the 36-Inch W x 19-Inch H units for additional storage elsewhere. They were shipped via UPS (not Amazon delivery), and both arrived in separate boxes and in excellent shape. Still happy with this item and my deliveries of the product. Will (probably) add pics of those once I get them mounted and arranged.

Absolutely the best mounting rail for my collection of AkroBins. I now have several mounting rails Unfortunately,It will be a challenge to find space for what is likely to be my last mounting rail. Luckily I have a variety of AkroBin sizes so it is just a question of how many of each size can be fitted to each of my mounting rails. I would certainly welcome 24-inch mounting rails. Do you plan to offer shorter length mounting rails?
