Honda 250 & 350 CC Twins Motorcycle (1964-1974) Service Repair Manual

Good general reference. Recommended for DIY mechanics.
As a kid, I had a 1970 Honda CL 350, and a Clymer shop manual that kept me running. I recently aquired a '71 restored 350 so I bought the Clymer manual again. Its sort of general but that OK as far as basic maintenance and "how to" stuff. Since I bought it, I downloaded the original Honda shop manual as a scanned PDF, which is detailed to the max. If you are into an engine overhaul, you need the Honda manual. Else the Clymer manual will give you plenty of info on keeping your bike tuned and running. The Clymer books are essentially edited and downsized shop manuals that cut to chase.

Good restorer's companion
I'm restoring a 1971 CB350 and although I haven't had the chance/need to really get into this book yet, but the odd couple of times I've referred to it, it's been really helpful.Great step by step instructions that reference well labeled pictures have made things really easy. It's also pointed out a few tools to me that I never would've thought of.No-brainer purchase for anyone wanting to maintain/restore one of these bikes.

Some information is just wrong in this manual
As a backup manual I guess this is ok, maybe it has some pictures that other manuals might miss. But, I've had 2 times that the info is just wrong. I have a 1970 CL350. The Valve timing, and spark timing sections are at best vague and in the case of valve timing, wrong. One other time, (rear wheel bearing), the information was so vague and poorly illustrated I ended up ruining my hub. Totally my fault but I no longer trust this manual at all.I have no faith in this manual and use it now only as a last resort.

Good enough for minor stuff
Good enough for minor stuff. But not the best for a person doing a rebuild for the first time.

Very light on detail
Marginally better than useless. Very thin book, not enough detail, poor photographs. Wiring diagrams need magnifying to be helpful but at least they're in colour. My heart sank when I saw the book was from Haynes and sure enough, it's nowhere near the quality of other Clymer manuals.Much better information is to be found online and free to download. Do a lot of online research, think hard before spending on this "manual".
