MUST unscrew center tit for Schrader Valve Depressor!
Amazon didn't put this in the description but you MUST unscrew the center tit with needle nose pliers for it to be a Schrader Valve depressor *required* for pulling a vacuum on a mini-split (low-side service port with Schrader valve. If you fail to do this, you will think you're pulling a vacuum when you're not. Also remove the Schrader valve on this adapter with a remover tool as this will impede the vacuum.

Adapts 5/16 Mini Split A/C Unit to 1/4 Vacuum Line
This adapter will allow the use of an automotive grade vacuum pump on an R410A mini split air conditioner, which is what most of the modern mini splits use. Like all Yellow Jacket products, this is a well constructed tool, works as intended, and should last a long time. Feels solid and would probably be fine for professional use. Both connections thread on for a secure connection. There is a core depressor in the 5/16" side which connects to your mini split, and a Schrader core in the 1/4" side which connects to your vacuum line or core valve tool.
