It fits well and Usually, it works pretty well. If you use it enough and are banging on the ground when you’re actively trying to get line out…. The blue plastic button eventually does get worn down. I think I generally only get a year or two out of this before I have to put a new one on. I’ve replaced mine a couple times over the years.

Spend the extra money and buy this. I purchased the el cheapo set first and it didn’t last and repeatedly got hung up. This is a great kit. Easy to put on- comes with the extra changeable installation bolt to adjust it to your unit. It works. Tap it, and the line feed- like it did when it was new!

This is the original equipment trimmer head for our weeder so it fits and works fine. I gave 4 stars instead of 5 because they no longer provide the metal backing plate and I had to remove the one from the old trimmer head and attach to the new one. Also the line included with with head didn't last nearly as long as the line I normally use. Minor issues and I'm not sure the metal backing plate is really needed.

This style of head is by far the best I've ever used! I really hate the new twist style on many models that kills your wrist to crank and gets clogged and bunched etc. I was even going to get an electric model but declined when I saw that it did not have a wind it yourself style head like this one. You can also put a lot of thick string on it. Just follow the arrows when winding, it seems counter intuitive, but wind them in the same direction doing the top first, locking string in slot and then doing the bottom. My old husqvarna trimmer's trigger broke and I was very frustrated with the craftsman's head I bought, being the wind up crank style but was able to take that head off and replace with my husqvarna and it works great now and I have tons of string loaded to get the grueling task done!

Fit perfect. OEM with adapter if needed

This replacement trimmer bump head fits perfectly on the first try for models KST 140XB-06 and older (the all black body trimmer). It was super easy to put on, too. All you have to do is stick an Hex key into the top of the trimmer head hole (not the ones on the sides that are for grease) and slowly spin the bump head until the Hex key falls in and locks the head. Now you want to undo the head off of the thread by turning it clockwise (you'll feel it loosing up when you're doing it right) until it completely comes off. Make sure you hold onto the metal plate that's in between as your removing the trimmer head. Once it's off all you have to do is spin this replacement head on and you're done. It really is as easy as I describe it. There's a video on youtube that shows how to do it if you're not sure but this 1000% fits the Kobalt 80V weed whacker with no problem and fits perfectly.
